Wherefore does a common visual novel producer add next to naught interactivity in their games?
They seem to not realise that:
Me -> Store -> Visual Novel -> $$$ -> Home -> PC -> Waiting... -> More waiting... -> ... -> The End = D:<
Yet these companies won't offer trial versions of their products.

Most company's release trial versions of their games, And 99% of the time there are early reviews of a game online along with gameplay footage.
Next time you make a thread, Make the topic easy to understand and explain it twice of need be.
I had to decode your post; even still I'm uncertain of what you are talking about.
Edit - Hating on a decent game that had a lot of work behind it, is (In my mind) considered disrespectful.
If you learn the backstory behind "Action 52", You earn some respect for it and understand why it's so bad.

That's fine, but here's the thing:
I DO love visual novels in general, but it's the interactive gameplay that drags me in.
Just because developer X wants me to choose Y's route, doesn't mean I should have to. Yet some "static" novels just push me along a single route even when I don't really care for that specific love interest.

Some visual novels focus on telling a story rather deliver a game, One of my favorites only has 1 choice.
Every visual novel does not have to have "Game" aspects, and sometimes the developers choose narrative over choices.
Can I ask what Visual novel/Eroge you are talking about, And more details of why you "hate" it?

Well, currently I'm playing a (very well made) OELVN, called "Homeward."
I swear that this game keeps pushing me to NOT go with the childhood friend, even though I've wanted to.
So much so that:
It shows that the character IS obcessive about the main character, and the main character (even after I did het him to date the childhood friend) went and had "pity intercourse" with the other character. Then, he acted as if nothing happened when later talking to the childhood friend.

Some VNs will force you to complete a certain route before giving you access to others.

Homeward is a Free to download fanmade VN

Homeward has a Beta, which is also a downloadable
and honestly a guy loving a VN, but expecting "interactivity" and "game elements" first to be delivered from VNs? *facepalm

You act as if this is the only visual novel that I've played. I've played Ayu's route in Kanon, some of Fate/stay night, and some of Little Busters, for example.
My point wasn't only applying to the visual novel that I'm on now.
And I only play visual novels every once in a good while. So when I do play them, I want them to give me choices, not push me down one given path.

It seems that you need to make some reseach on a VN before you start to read it to avoid these kinds of things. Check their tags for example. I'm under the impression that you're kind of new to VNs so you'll probably want to check VNDB for info about them.
Also, what you mention of

Well, I can say to you that LOT'S of people just read those types of VNs. A VN doesn't need to have gameplay to entertain who is reading it. It's all up to the tastes of each one so what you are saying about the companies not realising that VNs need gameplay is extremely subjective.
Remember that there are people who don't like much gameplay in a VN.
It can also be added that companies usually have a audience. In other words, many companies know that many people won't enjoy their games but even so they still keep working on what they want because there's a group of people who will enjoy their games. The marketing policy of each company is up to them.
This also applies to free works. The group responsible for the project has it's own audience.
Basically, if you only love VNs with some kind of gameplay, search for VNs with gameplay. If not, bear in mind that you probably won't enjoy it that much. This is something you choose to do, not something that someone (a producer for example) makes you do so in those cases, save your critics for your opinion regarding the story and not for something that isn't in the VN.

You make valid points, however:
I'm not asking for those silly minigames that are put in some visual novels, I simply wish for more dialogue choices (and more endings, thusly.)

But honestly "silly minigames"? can your mind get any more shallower?
Modern VNs focus more on the narration and story, rather than just putting out endings for the sake of putting more endings. Endings are not everything in a VN.
And after seeing the progress of this thread, this matter has been discussed.

No, no. You misunderstand.
I wasn't saying that I disliked the minigames.
I was just saying that I wasn't asking for them.

VNs companies has the liberty to put any kind of elements into their VNs, if you don't like it then it's not their fault. You just find VNs that is compatible to your own preferences.
I don't like guro, but then I play Saya no Uta and then complain they shouldn't have put guro in this VN? Isn't that just selfish.
and those are not minigames. Vns that has gameplay is made with proper solid gameplay. A minigame is a subgame of the game itself, and usually just a mere filler. The successful completion of such minigames may or may not be required to finish the encompassing game.
A VN itself is not a "game", choosing dialogues is not a gameplay.

First and foremost, I again state that I never claimed to even moderately dislike the minigames. I suppose "silly" may have been a bad choice of words.
My point is that laying down the details in regard to what your visual novel is or is not going go feature should be done out of convenience for the player. There are lots of hikikomori sitting in their basements eating potato crisps playing these games that they've shelled out a lot of money for.
If a company either false advertises, or includes some unexpected shock scenes, you need to correct your ways.

"My point is that laying down the details in regard to what your visual novel is or is not going go feature should be done out of convenience for the player."
These kind of information exists in the Official website of the VN, sites that sell VNs such as Getchu.com and review/database sites like VNDB.
Everything is laid out:
-Basic synopsis without spoilers
-story themes that they will encounter
-Characters, including their background and pictures
-Sample pictures
-Specs needed to play
-Price
-etc
"If a company either false advertises, or includes some unexpected shock scenes, you need to correct your ways."
Once again you're being a selfish consumer. The VN companies has the right to keep their "scenes" to themselves, it's their "trump card" you don't reveal your "trump card" before you even start a game. Whether the consumers "like it" or "not" it depends on the consumer itself. Companies don't have the obligation to pander to the fans.

Fine.
So you would be fine if a visual novel that you were playing suddently had a scat and vore scene out of the blue?

Do research on the VN you want to read before starting it. See it this way: If you pick a random VN without doing research on it you don't know what type of contents it may have. It's impossible for you to know. For that reason, if you don't like it and start bashing the VN because of the contents you didn't like you only have yourself to blame. Not the company since it was you who decided to read their work.
Companies may literally do whatever they feel like to the games they produce (of course the game must respect the law) so this all comes down to one single thing: It's your choice to play their work or not.

I can only do so much research before grazing into spoiler territory.
Regardless, I like your response better.
