Street Fighter Or Tekken?
Tekken Or Street Fighter?

I've always been an SF player since SFII came out, and the game that I am best at, so it's SF.
I've enjoyed the Tekken series though, but I'm not really good at the game. I suck at wave-dashing, doing combos, and learning the high-low mix-ups.
...But then again, as of right now, I prefer BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, or SkullGirls over SF or TK. :D

Basically these, Arcana Heart 3, King of Fighters and Melty Blood would fit in my 2D fighting genre at this time, and since Skull Girls especially is getting quite the recognition it deserves after only two weeks since its debut. I mean both Street Fighter and Tekken are okay by me, I grew up on SF since the Super Nintendo days and before I discovered KOF, SF was my main fighting game, Alpha 3 back on PS1 and later 2 remain my most loved version of the series still. As for Tekken, I was into just Tekken 3 and 5 for awhile until I couldn't keep up with the fierce competition, especially with the fact that simple juggle combos can kill you once you make a mistake.
I still like both series, but the current versions have grown quite a bit from their original premises, making me focus on classic, or advanced 2D animated fighting engines instead, they are a lot more fast paced.

Tekken (I love Alisa), Soul Caliber, then the Street Fighter that I have never touched. Alisa is cute, east to use, and friggin overpowered lol. Then it's Hworrang that I use to kick ass. I'm equal on both characters. Then my custom character based off Nightmare for Soul Caliber.

If I had to choose which was more fun to watch? Tekken.
If I had to choose which one is harder to play? Tekken still.
Don't get me wrong, I grew up on Street Fighter, but ever since Street Fighter 4 and beyond I've lost all interest. I seriously became involved in the fighting game community back during Alpha 3, and Third Strike, that's when it was at its peak.
But when Tekken 4 came out I became so attracted to it. Plus, watching Tekken matches always rile me up. Street Fighter matches have lost that flair for me.

The only Street Fighter game I like is 3rd Strike. Quirky roster, but that's what I love about it, and the parry mechanic. Only things I liked about IV would be C.Viper, Juri and El Fuerte. I never played SF2 when I was younger though.
Tekken, I pretty much like all of them. Tekken 3 was my first fighter that I played quite a bit, and Jin's my favorite character.
Honestly I couldn't pick between the two. There's days where I feel like playing SF and days where I feel like playing Tekken. But I'm an MvC player mostly so..yeah.

No both option? Kinda disappointed. I like both series, but I tend to take SF a little more seriously, if only cause my younger brother tends to be godlike at 3S. Tekken is pretty causal, maybe when TT2 comes out in the US I'll take it seriously as well.
In general I'll play any fighting game as long as it's fun. I've played almost all the fighting games that have been released recently. Except SkullGirls since it doesn't exactly appeal to me. Although that's probably cause I played an early build last year and it felt really slow to me. I'd give it another whirl but I don't see a PS3 demo for it anywhere...

SF for the Nintendo Family Com was my first fighter, I kinda got sick of SF when they released to many of the same games which differ very little from each other. And the way they name the series is kinda meeeh...
Dont wonder if someday you see this title for SF...
"Super Duper Street Fighter 4 Collector Turbo 10th
Aniversary Golden Slam Dunk Masters Jam Triple
Ultimo Collect Them All And Eat Your Bones HD Remix
House Made Out Of Dogs And Bricks"
and here's a video for it!

I myself never really got into the Street Fighter franchise early enough to truly appreciate it. For me, Tekken has been the one and only real fighting franchise for me that specializes in unarmed combat.
Dead or Alive also does well for me, as it's a very heavy-hitter fighting game. (Feels like you're actually hitting something with force.) Soul Calibur games are also brilliant for fighting with weapons, and I've grown to enjoy those. I've been interested in picking up Skullgirls, so that'll be my next little test.
I also really enjoy Brawl. (Classic Nintendo/SEGA and other characters. What's not to love?) Some fighters I've been interested in are games like BlazBlu and King of Fighters. Never got a chance to really try either though. I heard BlazBlu is actually really hard. XD

My first tekken was Tekken 5, only mastered combos and juggles for kuma.
My first SF was Street Fighter 2 turbo for the sega genesis, I know ALL the SF2 special attacks and some combos.

Personally, I don't play either of them. I never liked the juggling aspect of Tekken and I'm not patient enough for Street Fighter.
Ironically, the FGs that I do play are Soul Calibur and Marvel vs. Capcom.

I Prefer Tekken better than street fighter even though I played street fighter as a child in the Sega console back then. Boy was that a Jurassic compared to our game consoles now. hehehe.. Tekken has really was the first to capture a great deal of market in the Fighting genre. =)

Soul Calibur and Smash Bros series.
But out of the two choices, I've been better at Tekken. I'm trying to pick up Blazblue and it's having mixed results.
