Wow, that's funny. I'm sitting here in front of my computer browsing Fakku and JTV while also playing Swordcraft Story.
One of my favorite series. Pretty good fun. It's one of those games you love just because it is fun, not because it is technically impressive. Reminds me of Golden Sun. Both have lame-to-average stories, serious lack of characterization, but have just fun gameplay and excellent humorous bits. A game series you love, but you can't really explain it in a technical, analytical fashion.
Anyway, I almost always choose the Water Spirits of Sapureth in each game (Sugar, Dinah, Killfith).
I enjoy the first game the most. While there were some nice combat additions in the second game, it just wasn't as pleasing as the first. The humor was still there, but while Swordcraft Story (irony considering the name) has a rather run-of-the-mill story, Swordcraft Story 2's story is just down right pathetic in every manner possible.
I can't say much about Sword Monogatari Hajimari no Ishi because I only played a couple of hours of an untranslated ROM of the game, but then I realized half of the reason I play is for the corny, yet down right lovable humor and story, and it was completely lost on me being in Japanese.
Granted that was long before there were completely story translations out there, but I'd rather someone translate the game. There have been multiple attempts over the years, but as far as I know, no one has successfully released a translated ROM of the game, which is such a shame.
ZKnoves (another member of Fakku) and I actually had one of the most popular (though that isn't saying much since it was only one of handful) of English Summon Night websites out there called CityofSwords. We eventually stopped updating it though due to disinterest, especially when we were part of the community that contacted Atlus, only to find out they flat out told us they had no intention of translating Sword Monogatari Hajimari no Ishi.
Sometimes I wish we never shut it down though, it was fun while it lasted. /nostalgic sigh

Well I agree that the story was not that good but i have to say that i loved the characters (My favorite is sugar) and i was thinking of translating the 3rd game my self but i decided not to because I never really knew how to and the fact that it might be a waste of time since i haven't met much people who played summon night in the first place (even online)

I never beat the 3rd one but i plan on picking it up again. Twin age isn't even worth playing since it's just too easy.

I remember this game!I used the cute robot in the first game and in the second one I used the wind beast.
I had no clue a third one was released.
