The 1st EF had homages to Excellen and Kyouske, namely the protagonist Haken Browning and his eventual partner, Kaguya Nanbu.
This time around, it's a homage to SRW Compact 3's protagonist, Folka Albark and OG's Princess Shine Hausen.

I can't wait for this game. The combos look sick and the graphics still look awesome. I have a feeling that since this is a game by Monolith we will either see a Tales character, a Tekken character, a Soul Calibur character or another Xenosaga character in the crossover expectations.

I love Endless Frontier because you can't just mash the buttons (you can but every battle will take forever and you'll use up alot of potions and SP stuff)

To everyone that's complaining about missing the first one, I'm pretty sure you can still get new/used ones at Gamestop, depending where you live

The previous characters from the first one will return as followed Haken Browning, Kaguya Nanbu, Aschen Brodel, Suzuka, Reiji Arisu, Xiamou, and KOS-MOS, the two new characters are Neige Hausen and Alady Na'ashe. The game comes with extending normal and special combos including new ones for Haken and the gang and a longer story then the first one, Atlus needs to hurry up and obtain the license for this, so I can put my preorder on it. The game is scheduled to be released in Japan on Febuary 25, 2010.

Two new characters have been revealed and they've brought back good old silly Axel and Alfimi. The ArcGain will also be in the list of support mechs. Atlus hurry up with the license plz >_<.
And here's another compliation video showing off the characters special attacks and supports. Also, now it's been confirmed that the party will be able to use forced evasion the only downfall is...
Health at 30% or less
Frontier Gauage at 50% or less
Can only be used once per enemy attack
