I was not talking about the genre of game, but instead the userbase they most likely interviewed. People who only play games for a few hours/week etc. Mainstream users = Casualfags.

This list was pretty poorly made, but I do agree that a lot of those titles deserve to be somewhere in the top 50. I think numbering titles are always the worst thing to do since there's a lot of factors to consider as to what makes it good. Sales? Popularity? etc.
As for casualfags, don't forget there are people who've been playing some of those games before the casualfags arrived to more or less promote its popularity and somewhat make it a hated game due to the new community of newcomers.

Indeed, but the reviews were obviously taken from casualfags and not the hardcore gamers. I for one used to play CoD4 avidly, even joining up in a few tournaments with my clan. At least Pac-Man is on the list.

Halo is very popular because of its history, and all halos are incredible 1 2 and 3 the halo 4 is coming well... when halo 4 launches i guess.. will be lots of units sold

Where are Farmville and Desktop Tower Defense? Not saying those are great games in my mind, but more people play those games than most of the games on the list and they had important impacts on the gaming industry.
There are different groups that evaluate games differently. Even among critics, some are interested in games trying to be artistic even if they might be unplayable while others are interested in games that are compelling and enjoyable to play.

Zone of the Enders is a great game but.. they asked to players and they like Halo, ya the 2 games are good i played zone of the enders for PS2... and now i have an pc and PS2 Emulator, only remains the game =)
