The most overrated video game characters ever.

kratos and master chief should be near the top of the list for this one.

wow, this is the second time this guy has posted someone else's thoughts on videogames and considering they are both his only posts, makes me want to see what he comes up with in the future.

most overrated character?hmmm..... Commander Sheppard maybe.

There's nothing overrated against a dude/chick punching a reporter in the face, convincing his/her arch-enemy to kill himself, saving the galaxy, dying, being brought back to life, and puching the same reporter in face again a few years later before having save the galaxy... again (for a short while, anyway).

Though this list was robbed from another site, just want to say Sephiroth is not as overrated as everyone thinks he is. Most of the hate comes at him mostly because of the FFtards who idolize him TOO much, causing others to get annoyed and hate.

Plan unknown? You know he wants to wreck the planet with a meteor from disc one.

Reason unknown? An elite SOLDIER praised by everyone finds out he is nothing more than a creation of some crazy scientist. Upon finding that out, anyone would go nuts. So, upon finding out about Jenova and The Ancients, he sets to cleanse the world of the greedy humans using Meteor. Not fanfiction or speculation, but clearly said facts from the game.

Not evil enough? The man has sword that can cut you in half from one side of a building to the next. He burned down Cloud's entire hometown. Murdered major characters left and right. Unleashed the Weapons on earth. And yes, killed Aeris, a character some people liked and were sad/devastated to see her go in a time where the characters were more realistic (no longer sprites), so people got more attached. All of this evil while never once faltering along his path, always believing nothing could stop him, everything going according to his devious plan, and not once did he feel bad.

Above all, the game didn't end with a JK HERE'S THE REAL BAD GUY and instead you stick with Sephiroth=bad guy start to end. No 'shocking' bigger baddie appearing at the end.

Hmm most overrated...Princess Peach...the fact I'm constantly being forced to help/rescue this bitch means someone thinks she's worth the trouble...I am inclined to disagree mostly do to the fact that the bitch should know how to avoid trouble by now...or fucking do something for herself for fucks sake.

MC sort of had his own charm going, I really liked the contrast between him and Cortana actually. Series receives way too much gruff imo, probably cause of its angst-dominated multiplayer. But I never really played the multiplayer, so meh.

Lawl, srsly? He can't even figure out his own opinion so that he has to copy one others?

Anyway, I mainly disagree with that list. Except for Master Chief; I even have a hard time thinking of him as a certain character and not just one among many others in that game. There's really nothing that makes him stick out. Doesn't really matter though, games are still fun =)

Also, while I do think Kratos is pretty cool, the fanboyism of him is totally annoying.

Anyway, the ones I consider the worst... I'll think about it and come back later.

1) Cloud Strife is definitely overrated. He's a bitch!
2) Master Chief's allure was the helmet. We all wanted to see his face. However, the Arbiter, as was said earlier, was twice as bad ass.
3) Mario is a fat Italian man. I want to see Peach get ravaged by Bowser and love it.

Well even though i don't said that Sephiroth is the most overrated villain, i still believe some FFtards sometimes make him look more than what he is supposed to be.

If u ask i would say Luca Blight from Suikoden is much better being a villain.(especially "Die Pig" scene which very memorable to me.) having a good background story yet also still proving to be sooo bad ass that we need 3 times battle and one duel to beat him even though he is not the last boss is already so cool to me.
