The Wii-U Launch Thread

Hey there, at the time of posting there's only about four hours to go here on the Pacific coast until the American launch of the Nintendo Wii-U.

I couldn't find another thread, so I figured I'd make a thread for people to keep entertained while waiting for the launch of the console, chat about it and the launch titles, and also to discuss first impressions of the console once it's released.

I'm personally excited to see Nintendo attempt to innovate again like it did with the Wii, but also glad to see it's larger focus on core gaming. While there's a lot of room for them to mess up, I hope it does well. While I love Nintendo consoles and games, mostly due to their sheer originality and almost childishly bold and colourful design, I haven't really had any reason to feel enthused about the company for a while. I am a Nintendo fan, but not of the sort to force myself to like or defend anything of theirs I don't enjoy.

I'll be hopefully picking up the Deluxe package if I make it through the waitlist (I was too late to pre-order), and possibly either Zombi-U or Warriors Orochi 3. Anyways, I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts and what you all will be picking up come midnight/tomorrow!

I have been keeping track of the Wii-U. Honestly, I really don't want to have anything to do with it.

Fair enough, it does seem like a potential case of too little too late on the behalf of Nintendo. Launch titles that have been available on other consoles for months already? Still, I'm going to have some optimism, but yeah, I totally understand the misgivings of the console.

It looks like an interesting concept, Id like to see how it works, but im not buying one.

got a ps3, vita, and 3ds. Seriously, I'm not going to buy another console/handheld for a couple of years. I already have my pockets full with these 3. Shame that WiiU came out late.
