LOL. Don't hate. He was featured in 5 other games outside god of war and his image appeared in "The Simpson's game" too as a parody. Kratos has the best adventure i'v seen from all the video games i played apart from Nathan Drake(Uncharted).
Please, please play the Devil May Cry series if you have not yet done so. Avoid DMC2 like the plague, though. The gameplay should be easy enough to pick up, as God of War wishes it was this game.
I hate do disagree but there's a big difference between Devil May Cry (no not DMC as those letters were already taken by a shit Devil May Cry wannabe reboot that we all hope never releases) and God of War. Devil May Cry indeed surpasses GoW in comboes but that's because Devil May Cry is a game intended for gamers to compete with each other for stylishness. God of War however is not, you learn moves, you kill shit, you gain orbs, you kill bigger shit then you die- that's about it and it's not bad, but I'm just stating the big difference.
As for characters I hate:
1st on the list would be TIDUS (Final fantasy X)- he was so damn bad that he was removed from the sequel. Yeah I know he comes back, but that's just meant for the few fans he supposedly had.
2nd Bordeux from dothack GU- she PKed Alkaid aka Yowkow. Good reason enough for me to curse her eternally.
3rd Hope from Final Fantasy XIII- stop crying you whiney bitch I'm trying to eat these cakes!
4th Chairman of SEES from Persona 3- the dude manipulated his students into almost destryoying the world and even reprogrammed Aegis to do his bidding. The guy deserves to die.
5th Adachi from Persona 4- killed 2 girls because they had other interests instead of him.
On my stand about Kratos:
I think he WAS a good character until it started to feel like he's straying on the path ot hypocrisy. He stopped Ares from wrecking havoc but then he does exactly the same thing. The only reason Zeus killed him was because he couldn't fucking stop on killing people.

I think the only problem with this is that the more popular a character is and the more he/she is talked about and idolized the more people will hate them.It's not so much that the characters are unlikable, it's just too much attention.

1/ Sephiroth: I think the reason he become immortalize is because of his story. Dude went from the greatest well respected heroes to finding out he nothing but a freak from an experiment, then he snap and try to kill the whole fucking planet for a sever head, seriously that a 10/10 on the villian crazy scale,also he manipulate the main hero the entire game up till the last freaking moment. Also slap on a kick ass villian theme song, one black wing, a freakishly long katana, and a voice that sound dark and evil in both english and japanese. Biggest problem is when people ( or in this case a game character ) get popular for absolutely no reason. If you'd like, make a list of every good point about that game and I'll explain why it is nothing special.
I will at least say this; if they made a PS3 remake of FFVII, I'm sure it would rake in an insane amount of money. Why is beyond me, but I'm sure it would.

That would be pointless because you clearly don't like the characters so your comments would ofcorse bash on whatever reason I would come up with no matter how good or bad they may be.

As I see it, if a game can be successful when it first came out and still be successful if a remake was made, then it's a great game. The popularity helps but being a great is really what brings it all together.
I just don't see how any of the characters from FFVII could be in the "Top 15 most hated characters in gaming". Okay I agree that not everybody may like them but not necessarily hate them to this extent.

Don't really understand why the hate? Each char has their own merit and pluz. For me Sephiroth is not so bad as he is one of the villain that i see has some kind of crazy background from the greatest soldier into some kind of psycho villain.
Even if many player hate Hope from FF-13 i still like him as he is the only "hope" i have left for the game.(Give me SHOTA END!!!)
