TOP 20 SNES GAMES.

I was catching up on some of screw attacks threads and came on this Great List. I agreed with most of them now what about you guys?

I just didn't agree with the 10th game.
Other than that I would have moved around some of the top 10 around and 1 or 2 games from the 20-11

What do you guys think?

because of that i have just returned from the attic with millions of bites and my old snes with a whole box load of games

I totally agreed with numbers 2 and 1, but Super Mario RPG only at 5? Weak. >.>

Tell me about it I took out my snes from Japan (super famicom) and my japanese games and started playing. Just started a new Seiken Densetsu game.

Yoshi's Island at number 9? Blasphemy. That game should be on top. Not even Super Metroid is good enough to top that masterpiece.

Great list otherwise.

Secret of Evermore not even mentioned, Secret of Mana, a mere 6? From personal point of view, I am not pleased with this list.

Yeah I was really surprised at secret of mana at 6th place. But when you think about it the people at screw attack they take thousand of games into account. Do not forget about the 1 game per franchise rule. If you think about it what about Illusion of Gaia? There are countless good games out there the super nes was an incredible console. There are more good games in that console that there are out there at the moment in any of the new gens one.

I also think that they mostly do these lists to stirr up conversations and have people bitch at them for it. :D

I really only have a problem with Killer Instinct being in the top 20. I haven't heard its name thrown around as a great title very much.

Most of it I agree. But I've never heard about "Unicorn Squad"(?) that tied with Gradius 3.

I'm surprise that I watched "Area 88" (The anime) but didn't played the game.

And I've played most of them, except for "Super Metroid", I'm quite frightened by games like that in my younger days. I even need a friend to play any level of Mario with a ghost in it. :roll:

I don't agree with most of them. For me,my top three are

#1: Mortal Kombat 2
#2:Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
#3:Mega Man X and Mega Man X2

The rule is 1 title per franchise. So only 1 game from the Mortal Combat Series, Only 1 from the Megaman X series. Well you know the drift now :D

#10 was a bit iffy for me... I mean, who's heard of Actraiser before this? >.>

Lots of people. Hell, I played the game before it became a cult hit and had a sequel.

ALTTP should've been #1

I would have put Zelda 1st or 2nd depending where Final Fantasy III landed. Super metroid was an awesoe game but hey seems like Screw attack REALLY likes Metroid.

DK should have been higher up the list and Numbers one and numbers one and two switched.

I love that Actraiser made the list, I still can't beat it but even so I play it every so often, farthest I've gotten is (what I think is) the final boss. And to those that think it shouldn't be on the list because you've never heard of it... screw you, grab an emulator and the ROM, or find it on Ebay or something, it's unique and completely awesome. There's also enough of a challenge that you shouldn't be able to beat it in one day.

I wasn't able to see the first video (games 20-11) but I was surprised that Earthbound didn't make the top 10. Also I know it's a remake/port and that it's only official release was in Japan, but no Dragon Quest III? I gotta say, while it's impossible for me to rate my favorite games in a "top 10" list, I do agree with all the games they put in the top 10, even if I don't quite agree with what place they got. Really wish Nintendo would make another Metroid game that could rival Super Metroid... the Prime games just aren't the same and the GBA games don't compare either, despite being quite enjoyable.
