Tragic Video Game Deaths [SPOILERS]

Show me your most tragic/sad/epic video game deaths. Make my tear ducts fight.

What I'm NOT looking for is the random death of an unnamed person that just looks cool. I want deaths of major characters, and it needs to be a bit played out. Sadness it kinda what I'm looking for.

If possible, post deaths that can still be understood by people who haven't played your games story.

Here's my contribution, my favorite sad video game death.

It gets me very time.... even though she was your rival throughout the whole game, this still gets to me.... Rest in peace, Viola.

Oh my god this basically, that shit was tear jerking.

Guess nobody played the Remake, but so what. Enjoy your spoilers for a game you'll most likely never play.

I had the game first, I played it for a couple of hours but then the story was so awesome that I decided to quit the game to watch the 24 episodes anime instead xD (sold the game right after finishing the series).

But back on topic: THIS WAS FUCKING SAD INDEED. It was painful to watch the hero changing in character right after that.

I'd post the first games ending, but it's only sad to those that have played it.

I never got to finish the PS1 and the Remake (since it was in Japanese), but I got halfway through since I defeated the 1st boss and got back the humongous LENS back, but somehow it got fucking stolen again, so Stahn has to travel the world, AGAIN and- that's where I ended D:
