Do any of you play for days trying to obtain all the achievements or trophies in a game?
I have a friend who managed to get a 100% in 7 different games.
I try my hardest at what i can get and that's it.

Not really, I really only start thinking about achievements(missable ones at least) after I've finished the storyline of a game and had some time to play the multiplayer a bit. After that I worry about achievements and even then I don't really put to much stress on them, hell I don't have a single game that I have all the points for, although I'm pretty close on a few.

Lol at my collection. most of the games that I buy is either a "non-trophy" game, or a game that's not in the database of PSN's trophy library.
(Like my "So-JApanese "games, it's not even in the main PSN database lol
ex: Tears To Tiara GAiden, White Album PS3)
But the gamer cards still displays my Trophy amount perfectly.
About trophy collectin, yeah, it's fun, but I'm not that commited to it.

Nah, I mostly play just to complete the game. Only sometimes do I replay a game to get trophies/achievements.

They're occasionally interesting to get, but most of the time I don't really care about them.

i dont try to achieve a 100% i try to achieve at least a percentage. i got zero percent on one game but i dont even know who have the game so i can achieve 1% on it

It depends on the game and how dedicated I am to playing it. If I really like a game, I'm more likely to go out of my way to get the achievements for it.

Yeah, I put a lot of effort in getting as many achievements in games as I feel like at the time. Only game I've 100% is getting all 1750 in Dragon Age: Origins, which was by no means difficult, but time consuming so it still felt rather rewarding.

Also close to 100% Tales of Vesperia, but unfortunately with the hussle and bussle of transferring save data from my old 360 to my new Slim model I managed to lose all of my ToV data in the process, and I am far too lazy to clock in hundreds of hours in that game again just to get a 1000 in it.
Only time I really don't care is if the game has a lot of online achievements. I hate it when games do that. My Gears of War, Left 4 Dead 2 and Halo 3 scores are abysmal because I refuse to play online only to worry about those annoying achievements.

I actually try to get all the trophies I can while playing through the story at first, then I replay the game to unlock all the others.

I rarely go out of my way to get achievements, unless the requirements to unlock them actually make the game more amusing. For example, I played Stranglehold's multiplayer for the sole purpose of getting the Testikill achievement, which is unlocked by shooting another player in the balls with the precision aim Tequila Bomb. It's still my favorite achievement to this day.

I don't go after the achievements in game, I go after the women in the game.
If I happen to get a achievement, whatever I move on xD

I just play for fun and occasionally go for the achievements. if I'm sure I can get all the achievements/tropies in the game then I'm going for it.

And rather expensive too. I swear I could have bought more than 3 games with the money I spent on Origins. No regrets thought.
Burnout Paradise takes the cake when it comes to spending money on DLC. I got lucky and bought them all for $20 when there was an sale a few months ago. I just wish I had money to buy a damn camera to get my platinum.

I usually achievement hunt after I complete the game. It gives the game some replay value and keeps it challenging and fresh depending on the game.
