Using keyboard on fighting games?
0
For some reason, I'm more comfortable with using keyboard than using Arcade sticks or MadCatz when playing Fighting Video Games..
I wanna know why.
Probably because the controls are more close in the keyboard and you can execute the action fast.

From my take on this, I think it's because the keyboard has more controls which you can change to suit your style of gameplay. The fact that keyboards generally tend to have more controls doesn't always mean "it's more complicated" either. You can also react quicker as your right hand is usually focussed solely on the mouse, and if you misfire the camera or crosshair for the weapon you're shooting, you can quickly correct yourself, whereas on a joystick you can't as easily.
For example on Spiral Knights, by default, the Shield key is X. But I changed it to Shift because none of my fingers can reach X while I'm using WASD, but my little finger can reach Shift with no problems. Until I made that change, I didn't shield at all and it resulted in me dying alot. Now I shield excessively and only ever die on Arena levels and get piled, or if I get a fuckload of lag, or both. [size=1]Yes I'm obsessed with Spiral Knights. Shut up.[/h]
GTA San Andreas I had to do an overhaul on the controls, as some were bound to 3 keys and it was more suited to a PC than a laptop, as some of them used the NumPad, something which my laptop lacks.

Well... I find that keyboard works fairly well with charge chars in SF. The circular motions are fine as long as HC is all you need. 360/720 is, I find, highly impractical
