[VENOM] Strip Mahjong (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) *
1

If you ever wanted to play some sort of strip game with the girls of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, here's your chance. Admittedly, your game of choice would probably have been Poker (or Snap), not Mahjong, but "When in Nihon, do as the Nihonjin do", as the old saying doesn't quite go.
It plays like a Visual Novel up until the point that the mahjong kicks off. It's all in Japanese so unless you can read those crazy moonrunes, it should be of interest to know that CTRL skips through the text quickly (though it will all still have to appear; you can't just jump to the strip mahjong).
I was reminded of this game because I've got back into Haruhi recently due to the new season and I've also got into mahjong recently, thanks to Akagi and Saki (I recommend Akagi wholeheartedly. Saki pales in comparison, but then Akagi is aimed at the GAR crowd whereas Saki is very moe, and is worth watching for it's moe-ness at least).

Some preview images.
Spoiler:
Yes, you do eventually get to go a little beyond stripping. And there are some guest appearances too.

If you don't know how to play mahjong but would like to learn, check out this site and practice on this one-player flash version of the game. When you feel more confident, why not head onto Tenhou, an online mahjong site where you can play with other human players. You'll need this English guide to Tenhou, most likely.
Finally, if it's all too much work for you, here's the CG collection.
Bonus!
Quick translations of various menus:
Spoiler:
Note: If/when you're defeated, the top option is Continue, the bottom option is Quit.

hmm
maybe with this Mahjong will finally be able to hold my attention span for more than one or two games
Does the Difficulty affect any of the cgs you get?
(do you get more cg,s or different ones, etc.)

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so.

For some reason in my game I don't options like in your third screenshot
this is what mine looks like (ignore Haurhi's strange face)
and the options (from left to right) are quit, skip through text, and change settings
Also do we have any clue on what this says
EDIT:
I translated what i could of the two options and this is all i could come up with
If you can't tell the first option ends in "u" (i'm fairly sure that's right) and the other ends in "wanai"
but I suck enough at hiragana and Katakana so there's no way i can translate the kanji

Yeah, I should have said this before but I only got that options menu when I ran it in AppLocale. However, running it in AppLocale stopped any images from appearing.
The big writing says Tsumo. That's when a player wins with the last tile being drawn from the deck rather than by stealing it from another player. I'm a little rusty with the rules, but I assume Yuki got the Tsumo, not you, since you've revealed some of your hands so far and she hasn't. IIRC you need a totally closed set of tiles to get a Tsumo (though that may just be for a higher grade of Tsumo).
The text in the box is too full of kanji for me but it seems to mention the word "Mikuru" and "device". At the bottom it mentions you have 6 (uses) of a certain item left. Next to that you have two choices; the one of the left is the affirmative, on the right is the negative. This is a complete guess, but maybe it's like extra lives and it's saying you can go back in time using Mikuru's device to before you lost, Prince of Persia style?
