I think you are a little confused, I simply went from mentioning a couple of movie-based games that I thought were actually fun to play. I wasn't saying that they would make a good movie, I think that'd cause some sort of weird cinema paradox or something.

Granted, they were comic-to-movie based games, but I think how closely they follow the movie's settings that they actually are classified as movie-based games. This is most evident in Wanted. The comics for Wanted dealt with a world controlled by a large group of supervillians that killed all of the superheroes and take over the world. It's the movie that switches the supervillians to a group of self-righeous assassins, which the game follows up on.

Anyway, let's get back on topic...

I could actually go for a God of War movie, just have to be lots upon lots of action. Kinda like 300 on speed, I would watch that.

Why's everyone forgetting about Tron? That was a very decent if not great video game to movie translation. At least I liked it... and am very excited for 2.0 (or whatever they're calling it).

Oh and I also vote for Valkyria Chronicles.

But I think Bioshock would be a genius movie to make, especially for anyone that wants to cash in on the current Steampunk fad running rampant. (Before you bite my head off about Bioshock not being steampunk, read this great article here)

I want VALVE and only VALVE to animate and direct a "Meet the Team", Team fortress 2 movie that fully introduces them from the beginning.

Is hard, cause they have to fill the storyline of the game (which it has a lot of holes, cuz the gameplay), with something else, you can't just put a fighting scene that last 20 minutes after 3 minutes of an important event or a dialogue, that would be boring and less artistical.
And yeah, there is some crappy idiots who think that change the storyline to theirs is better.

Prince of Persia... wait a minute. Metal Gear Solid has the potential to be a great movie.

NEED FFX remade into a movie! Yes, i know it's not a popular as the other ones, but this was the one that made me believe that games can tell and engaging story and not just mindless button presses.

I wouldn't mind paying good money to see a live action StarCraft movie.

a Mass effect movie would be epic
