Video Game that takes a long time to beat?

And I mean, LONG. Like, a hundred hours or more.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3: FES - Spended about 150 hours including The Answer epilouge.
.//hack series - Scored about 100 hours in each game.
Samurai Warriors 3 - After you complete one's character story, A new character will spawn and have their own story. Each story takes a long ass time to complete. There's shit loads of characters in it too. Played about 185 hours on that game + 20 hours for 4TH weapons.

In terms of what? Man-Hours? Longevity? What defines the longest game? If it is for replayability, I would have to say Tetris because I use that thing on Road trips like there is no tomorrow. If for longevity, I prefer to play RPG games such as Skyrim or World of Warcraft. So define.

I say Daggerfall, it is just too big and too long (by big, I mean, you have to walk for like 24 real-life hours to get anywhere).

longest games would have to be well any MMO because they dont actually have a ending.puzzle games can also be played for hundreds of hours.
but if you want to talk a game with a begining middle and end for me it would have to be disgaea 4 im 200 hrs end and i stil havent beat fuckin Zetta.

I remember getting over 300 hours of playing pokemon silver I think it stopped keeping track of the time at some point though and it eventually the save became corrupt.

I've poured at least 100 hours into every Disgaea game. Also Star Ocean 3 and most Tales games can be pretty long ([size=10]assuming you do lots of side-quests[/h]). And finally I'd say Borderlands is a good time-sink too.

Kind of Important
A ray of Tsunlight.
If you want an old-school time sink, go track down a game called Star-Control II.
I know for a fact that you'll get at least 100 hours out of it, maybe more if you explore the entire game. You can get a fan-patched free version if you search google for The Ur-Quan Masters.
DOS-based goodness. (It'll run on any modern OS, thanks to the people that keep on patching it.) Tons of plot, back story, exploring, mining, etc. It's worth a look.

I don't think that I've ever finished the main story to any Bethesda games before. I have over 120 hours clocked in on Fallout 3, 90 hours on New Vegas, and Skyrim's still fresh at about 32 hours.

Most Tales games have at least 80 hours of play time.It depends on the story line if its takes that long, but for the extras, it goes much longer. These were my play times during the two Tales of games releases back on PS2:
Tales of Legendia: 150 hours, including extra character stories and New game+ on Hard.
Tales of the Abyss: 405 hours, including second playthrough on Unknown difficulty, extra costumes, quests and Abyssal Lab walkthrough.

I never finish Elder Scrolls or Fallout games there is so much to do that I stop playing for a while to play other games come back to it and have no idea what I've been doing and where I am and restart.

That's a matter of opinion. I played a monster hunter Demo and I couldn't get into it. It was to slow and the monsters were more annoying then difficult. God eater on the other hand was fast paced. The monsters were equally fast and was very difficult. But like I said it's a matter of opinion. and I would've had more hours on god eater, buuuut I broke my psp trying to beat chaos in dissidia. after losing over 200 times and god knows how many hours... I got mad. Lol.
