Well, we can name a few games from Valve that shoulf be 'numero tres" of a series but we all know that Valve personnel do not count up to three when making computer games.
Also, we shall never see Age of Empires IV, because, frankly, the third was a dissapointment.
Cheerio to lost games in the endless fields of Zug Amal Zlong.

A followup to God Hand, Okami, Rise of Nations and a fuckload of other awesome, but underrated games.

Final fantasy 14 is probably never coming to console yea it bombed on PC but i was still looking foward to giving it a try

As much as I love the game for using some much needed style and innovation in a largely bland gaming genre, they made too many mistakes for it to reach the commercial/critical success needed to allow a sequel.

Star Wars: Republic Commando 2/Indiana Jones

The former was ended with a book, despite the actual game ending in a MASSIVE cliffhanger that rivals Halo 2. The latter was scrapped due to development time taking too long.

battletanx, awesome series on the 64 but, but its company went bankrupt and its rights got lost, so nobody knows who owns the series.

Streets of Rage 4 and a sequel to Jet Set Radio Future.

Shenmue 3 and Sonic Adventure 3.

Oh and anything Mother(Earthbound) related? Don't know why Nintendo hates that series to be honest...

Any Valve game that has a 3 in it. Examples include Left 4 Dead 3, Half Life 3, Half-Life 2 Episode 3, Counter Strike 3, Dota 3, and Team Fortress 3. Valve's computers seem to hate the prime number 3 I guess.

Valve knows, Valve knows. Well let's be honest a series that's built so much hype and expected to be the best of the series rarely ever happens. This trend always seems true for a trilogy as it seems they never really build up to overdo the previous installments. Though people forget that a final ep. of a trilogy is suppose to conclude most of what's been shown in the past material.(But even I hate it when it just leaves more questions, plotholes, etc.)
