Yesterday namco posted a crappy comment on facebook then deleted it after a storm of negative feedback. http://www.talesunion.com/news/new-tales-post-vanishes-from-company-facebook-wall--1088.html
And before you say it's a pointless poll and ect ect ect. I think all tales fan already knows that from ages ago. Some fights are worth fighting.

this isnt really related but i got tales of symphonia like new at a used game store for like 8 bucks a couple of months ago.
i had it when it came out and found it really boring and bad but i bought it again just because.
tales of vesperia was ok but also got really boring. like basically every JRPG. also the combat system in the Tales games is bad. welp see ya.

Bah, I've lost about all faith in Namco and this is coming from a guy who adores the Tales series. They can keep making their crappy ports and remakes until they are blue in the face for all I care. All I wanted was to play Innocence and Hearts on the DS, but NOOOO can't have that despite Tales games on the DS making good business sense. Fuck 'em, Namco Tales studio could actually go belly-up, like the rumors say, for all I care at this point.

Symphonia sold over a million on the GCN version alone. It was the most successful Tales game, but more or less have been progressively decreasing in sales each year while the cost of development increases in turn, which is the primary cause of their financial woes.

wasnt it the first one in 3d or something? maybe it was just due to the lack of rpgs or... well, any good games in general on gamecube. either way it appears to have been a fluke.
