Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune (1, 2, 3, 3DX, 3DX+, 4)

Hello guys! Anyone here a longtime or up-and-coming player of the game? I've been playing this game for 3 years, ad it's one of the best arcade racing games out there. Currently my main is an RX-8, followed by all the GT-R generations (from C10 to R35). Yuzo Koshiro also makes the best damn music there is.

Do you have any WMMT experiences you can share?

I'm not the type who plays this since LOL $.50-$1.00 per game and I suck at it too, but I have friends who plays it a lot.

This is probably the game I play the most at the arcade in the mall my family likes to shop at. It's fun, can get intense racing someone of equal skill, which just adds to it. I've had a few cards that I've lost, but my most recent one (that I still have, thank goodness), I drive a Subaru Legacy.

I've use to own cards for all of the WMMT series. Since then, I've been reppin' the Z30 and the GTR32.

Don't sweat, a lot of people still have to learn the ropes when starting out. Rather depends on the person's inclination to cars sometimes, though.

True that. Not as realistic as Gran Turismo (I'm much of a realism nut), but this just fits those who like to have some fun while at the same time have real competition. And, the Namco tach is something to die for (well, at least for me).

Last WMMT I played was 3 before they closed down the local arcade at the mall. It's fun but I'm more inclined to play Initial D.

Initial D was fun to me for a while, but after getting into Wangan midnight, it just, for some reason, isn't anymore. It can be just as challenging, but it doesn't have that extreme speed, one-mistake-and-you're-a-goner feeling. That's the same reason I also love Need for Speed and Burnout.

I was gonna play ID as well from Ver3, but after learning of Sega's b*tch move of denying V3 players any and all kinds of data transfer to Ver4, it rather turned me off big time. I'm thinking of starting in V4 instead, but having to change driving styles when changing games is too much for me, so I stuck with MT instead.

Do you, by any chance, play GT and/or Battle Gear as well?

GT = Gran Turismo? If so, then no. Not really into grid racers, though I was really into GRID for a while.
And I haven't heard of Battle Gear.

I see... and, Battle Gear is something of an arcade version of GT.
