As it says above, what was the first game you played that got you into First Person Shooters?
This idea came to mind while playing MW2 and i was making some nice head shot kills.
Mine was Medal of honor: Rising Sun for the ps2. ahhh, great times.

Hm, probably Shogo:MAD back when I played it around 2000 or so. Although I never got as particularly into the genre as I am until about two years ago.

Doom got me into playing FPS, but I went through a 5 year hiatus where I would only play platformers.

Probably the most popular, and console universal, FPS would be any of the Call of Duty games particularly Modern Warfare, and now Modern Warfare 2.

Battlefield 2142.
I had assumed every game was like this, took skill and no camping. Good players were respected.
Sadly that isn't true outside BF2142 but thats besides the point. Once I started playing CAL for BF2142 I decided to try other games console/pc
