Remember me?
...when you play video games?
Please don't post if you're just going to say 'in-game music'.
As for me:
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 1/2: Dragonforce; Soldiers of the Wasteland, Operation G&P, etc
Midnight Club LA: Initial D OST
I just plug my iPod in on 'everything' for alot of my other games, like Resident Evil 5, and Halo Reach.

usually the reggeaton genre and lady gaga. it helps pass the time and keep me when playing boring ass game like forza motorsport 3 ( can you beleve the fucking steering wheel dont turn 900 degrees like a real car and yet they say they are a driving simulator)
music works best for when you do the samething over and over like when i was playing dead rising i was working on the zombie genocidest achivment which ment killing about 52,000 something zombies and doing that is boring so i just pluged my zune hd to my xbox and 5 hours later i got it. music is the best apart from women, cars, hentai, video games and food

It all depends on 2 things for me.
1. what game I am playing
&
2. What music I am into right now (since my tastes change a lot.
But normally rock or metal. Only thing I can nail down that won't change no matter on those two things. Is the campaign for Halo: Reach. I will only listen to Mudvayne when I play that. Just feels wrong to me otherwise for some reason.

All That Remains*
Usually, ifI listen to music, it's either Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, TBDM, The Agonist, etc. Oh, and The Who... and Smashing Pumpkins.
But if we're talking any Grand Theft Auto game, radio stations are godly.

When I play games I listen to the GAME music... How can I feel that Im playing super-hyper RPG when I listen to Rock/Metal while I play?

Id rather respect the time developers put into the game and listen to it the way they wanted it to be listened to. They have sound producers for a reason.
If, however, there is some thing in a game I'm doing that has no music and I feel like listening to some, I'll start some random album from Behemoth, Mors Principium Est, Devin Townsend, etc and just let it play from start to finish, but even that rarely happens. Can't do it anymore anyway, someone broke my headphones.

Why would you listen to other music while playing games? You should listen to the game music. They make that music for a reason. It adds to the atmosphere. It adds to the feel of the game. You understand the mood a little better. The music is there to fit situations in the game.
Like battle music for battles, sad music for when some person dies, or hi tempo stuff for a party or some danger, darker music for tension. There's so much emotion to it!!!
