I usually play danmaku or a music game.
when I need some time to think I go for the racers.
Beat Em Ups are always nice. My favorite is Streets of Rage 2.
I don't play as many rpgs but that is slowly changing.

Action games like Devil may Cry and God of War. A lot of fighting games, and Team Fortress 2 is the only FPS game I play a lot.
