When you enter a name in the "Name Entry" screen, what do you generally put in?.
If you cant decide, listen to this song and im sure the choice to determine the fate of the galaxy will be made a little easier.

I generally, use my own name or Troii (character from ogre battle 64). I find the defualt name used in a lot of games is usually strange or just doesn't fit the character.

I always use the canon name unless it's like Pokemon or something. I use my own name in Pokemon. If there is no canon name then I will make one up or just rip one from a character I like.

If i really care about the story i'll use my own name,
but if its zelda, or Skyrim or something that i wonna play but wont pay too much attention to,
then i'll enter my name as "slippery dingus" or something like that.

If the character is actually a character, like Link, I will use Link. Other games that you have yout own character, I just think of a random name or a name that kinda matches the time of the game.

First two play throughs on a game where the character actually has a name I'll use the canon name. After that whatever I feel like.
A game where the main character has no actual name and I'll just pull a name out of a hat.
For the purpose of the poll I'll vote the first option.

If I can customize my character, like hair, face, blah blah blah. I'll pick my own name. but its its got a main character with a name already decieded for them I'll use that.

If a character has a canon name, I use that. Other than that, I either use a game that fits to a character in a fantasy game (in, well, fantasy games) or use a name of the culture the character comes from (in games set in the "real world"). Sometimes, I use a name from an anime or another work, but that's rare nowadays.

If the character had a name by default or something I go with that. If not, I take a pretty long time to name my character..

Unless a character have already a name, i spend a lot of time trying to came up with something cool, expecially if i had to input a full name.

I always use the character's name if they have one. If they don't then I'll usually just go with a random name I like. I often use Raiden for male characters ([size=10]not a Metal Gear reference, I just like the name in general[/h]). You should see how weeb all my Disgaea names are though.
