PS3 VS PSP
Between the 2 which one is the best host for Visual Novel games? When I say host I mean which one has the the best and many visual novels in their respective library of games.

PSP, easily. The only ported Visual Novels that I know of on the PlayStation 3 are the BlazBlue games, and those are crosses with the Fighter genre. The PSP has Hakuoki (Otome), Fate/Extra (Luck-based RPG cross), Persona 3 Portable (Plays like a Visual Novel, in a way, and is similar to one. RPG cross) and others that I know damn well I'm forgetting.

There's no Route branching, no choices (routes), no Cgs and there's no narration.
-----------Back on topic
PSP has the largest, since most remakes, ports and new anime adaptation titles are made just for the PSP.
Even from today till the last day of October the PSP still has 9 titles to be released.
PS3, the only company that cares for the PS3 VN market is LEAF/Aquaplus.

Lol, interestingly enough, the Persona series isn't in VNDB, but look at what is.

Blazblue, as you can read in the vndb discussions, Have 70% Visual novel Elements.
As Discussed, Blazblue's story mode has route branching, choices, event Cgs. Even one user said that the story mode you'll spend more time reading than fighting.

Another the Ar Tonelico series was consireder as a VN because of the "Cosmosphere" part of the game.
Exceptions like this also apply to other thoughtly VN but not a VN at all. For example Photokano, it's not really VN. DAting sim yes, but a Visual Novel no. You spend 70% of your time doing photos.
Guideline Rules
A Hybrid-VN, crossed with any gameplay element, be it real time strategy, SRPG, TRPG or anything else, must follow the following guidelines to be included:
-Must have a story that is told in one of the standard VN styles, either ADV or NVL, and its story-segments also have to follow the guidelines associated with these standards.
-There must be a clear line between the "gameplay parts" and the "VN parts". Ex.: The VN parts take place between missions, during which there are no gameplay at all.
-The VN segments should be extensive enough to be more than interruptions between the gameplay-segments and must be as, if not more important than the gameplay itself.
