Which old games would you like to see remade?

Something I was discussing once...which of the old games would you like to see remade? What would you change in them, if anything?
Personally, one thing I would really want see is Ace Combat 3.
That game deserves more than it got, especially on subject of butchered American/European version.
I would love to see that game with modern graphics, but more with the kind of planes that they employed there (the futuristic models of today's planes like the upgraded Raptor or Su-37 Super Flanker as well as those futuristic designs like Geophelia and Night Raven) and the ability to influence the story line, just as it was possible in original AC3 released in Japan.
I would also like to see Armored Core 3 with the kind of controls which didn't require four hands from me. It was perfect in terms climate of Layered, and mechs didn't feel as ridiculously overpowered as they did in more recent Armored Cores. With exception of heat. Don't want it. Really don't want it back.
And that most weapons would have definite names, not a string of numbers/letters.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, what about you?

I would LOVE to see Tales of Phantasia remade just like Tales of Destiny: Remake was.
Now, the PSX version was stellar, but ToD:R took the cake on every level. The best game of the series hands down.

The Legend of Dragoon. Such an amazing game deserves a remake so today's gamers know what a real JRPG is.

- GTA: Vice City, because everything but the character models is brilliant.
- FF7, because it could be even sadder with realistic graphics.
- Red Alert 2, because it's the best C&C game and the franchise needs saving.
- One of the good, PS1 Crash Bandicoot games, or maybe even the first three rolled into one glorious package. One of the best platformers around, it lost it's edge with PS2 sequels. Restore it with a glorious modern sheen and it would dominate. Same could go for Spyro, come to think of it.
- Timesplitters in HD. Do you need any other reasons?
- Abe's Odyssey and Exodus, maintaining the 2D look but with stunning backdrops and sharper characters. Came everywhere just thinking about this.
- A plain remake of Red Faction 2, none of that sequel crap. Genius game could only be enhanced with better graphics and more enviro-destruction.
And finally, it's not exactly a remake, but the world needs Shadow of the Colossus in full HD and beyond. Pleeeeeeeeeeease.

Let's see, what else... I didn't become a really serious gamer until the days of the N64 so I'm not as familiar with "older" titles, but how about...
1) TIE Fighter, for one, best flight sim I ever played.
2) Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon definitely needs an update. For that matter, the whole series needs more western lovin', but that's about as likely as Banpresto getting the entire Super Robot Wars franchise properly licensed for export.
3) Darkstalkers needs a sequel. Yes, a SEQUEL, not random appearances in Marvel vs Capcom or Cross Edge or whatever other crossover games you come up with, I WANT DARKSTALKERS 4.
4) Final Fantasy VI. Needs no explanation.

Blaster Master.
though they would probably screw it up and either make it all driving, or an FPS with a bit of vehical thrown in all last minute like.
