And you comment about "pre-exclusive xbox360 games porting over to the PS3 and being better" is absurd! By my count only three have jumped, Ninja Gaiden 2, Tales of Vesperia & Start Ocean. Sure they have added new "content", but that wouldn't make the game any better, just more time consuming.I don't know about you but to me better graphics, new characters, new missions and extra content do indeed make a game better. Of course not all of those are in all the exclusives that have jumped ship but I can give an example for each one if you need. PS3 versions of the exclusives that have jumped ship have most of those enhancements. If you don't think that those make it better then it's your opinion but to me and just about anyone that makes it better.
The core gameplay and story remains, the extra content could be seen as a DLC package for the game. At that people still won't like the game if they don't like the core gameplay style and story, bringing in some DLC won't change a persons opinion about the game. If it's really better then shouldn't it be able to sway some of those people into playing it?

PS3 SLIM comes with 120 gb, seriously why is this a hard decision? XBOX360 comes with a 250 gb, seriously why is this a hard decision?

Games. The 360 and PS3 are so fundamentally similar your only real choice should be based on the games you want to play.
I agree with this, though would point out the xbox360's vastly superior arcade and community/indie games library.

Always makes it turn into a discussion of useless hardware comparison when the idea of a GAMING console should be about GAMES. Granted there is ground to fight about who is the better media console, but people fail to realize that a lot people still don't give two shits about their PS3 or 360 as a home media center.

I know there has to be a Ninja Gaiden fan out there that has played the 360 version and wants to try out the new PS3 version. It may not be any huge seller for people who have already played it on the 360 but some will more then likely play the PS3 version as well. Same goes for the extra missions in Tales. I know there is a fan out there that wants to. Also I think there was an extra character in the PS3 version of tales as well as a whole new arc. I am not sure on that tho.
Well this is from Catcher.

PS3 has 2-3 new dungeons, new playable character, more bosses, more moves, more story, more sidemissions, more sidecharacters, more items, and eventually, a leaver joins permanently.I think that would seem pretty good to a Tales fan. More then enough reason for any true fan to replay the PS3 version in my opinion. None of which is DLC for the 360. Catcher figured this out from watching the stream.

I love animeholics arguements o-o Makes the PS3 seem like more than the DVD it was when it released. Generally the people who bought PS3 off the shelves on release day got this response from me. "Enjoy watching spiderman 3 on Bluray for the 19th time? I haven't seen that movie because I have been too busy gaming on my console, Jealous?" To this day I still haven't seen spiderman three and I thank Xbox360 for that.
But I believe much like the PS2 the PS3 is having a slow start, Its going to be a far more desirable console every passing year, I laughed at it year one, Now I am considering it as more than a DVD player, By next year it will be on Par with the 360 and the year after it will be the best Gaming Console of this generation.
For now though I can easily say Xbox has a more satisfying gaming experiance, Next year? Probably not >.>; PS3 is already the better home media console but like its already been said, thats not why people buy a PS3.

You make it sound like the only reason you didn't buy a PS3 was because it came with a movie that you assumed would be the only source of entertainment, forsaking the fact that there existed games for the PS3 at the time as well. You are also making the assumption that people bought the release day PS3 and then directly went to watching Spiderman3 an unprecedented number of times. The truth is, that movie was simply a slight bonus to buying a PS3, much like getting free mints after finishing a meal.

It is very difficult to conclude that either the 360 or the PS3 have one over the other in the category of "gaming experience". There is no strict ruling system as to whether one thing in general is "better" than another. In the end, it's up to what the gamers enjoy.
More people buy the PS3 as a home media player than you think. With most people I've talked to, the major reason to buy a PS3 over the 360 was the fact that it includes a Blu-ray player.

There were games for the PS3 even then but there were more third party games on the 360 then the PS3 being that there were more 360 consoles on the market thanks to the 360 have a year head start on the PS3.

Get both if you got the cash.
PS3 slim can't play PS2 games until the upgrade, but you get free online play.
The 360 can play some old xbox games, but the online has a monthly fee and yes you run the chance of getting the dreaded RROD, but the real killer of an xbox is e74. If you get that error code your box is dead and you better hope its still under warranty. If you've ever bought a cheap 360 off craigslist only to have it fail shortly after it's because of e74...or the previous owner was an asshat and got the box banned from xboxlive.

i have both,
The PS3 is mostly for hard core gamers who don't play multi player games. PS3 has a built in wireless adapter and free online
The xbox 360 is for anyone who likes to play games with or without people. the only bad side is you need to pay for xbox live and a wireless adapter (which isn't that bad).
With games, for the most part, the PS3 and xbox have the same games... accept for a few exclusives.
If i were you i would buy the xbox, but it really depends on what kind of gamer you are.
