Why Was Dead Island Banned For So Long?
0
Title says it all.
Why was it banned for so long?
I mean sure you can cut off peoples body parts and the game is gorey as HELL!
But i dont see why it was banned?
And another question. What was some of the things the changed in it before releasing the game?
Cause i was playing with a couple of friends and they said the Suicider Was suppose to actually say "Kill Me" But instead he says "Help Me"
Is that true? I mean i can see why they changed it cause that would be some hardcore shit hearing that thing saying kill me. O.o
One last question is there anything in the game that they took out before selling it?
And if so, why?
Thanks for reading and thanks for replying! :)

Where was it banned exactly?
Austraila would be my first guess. that or UK.
Anywhat, i've seen nothing on removed content, and I swear some will only got after the games becuase of the titles.
*after reading.* (should of done that first..)
I've got the north american edition and yes, the cover has no hanged zombie, just one standing.
Some dialong does seem in a bit off-audio, not sure if its just the game, or a newer version of rewrited dialong.
i've seen little else. sorry.

Wtf?
Dead Island were banned in the UAE only, not even the Australians supposedly did anything, and no in-game content should have been edited anywhere. The only thing they did were to change the logo since too many peeps went apeshit over the hanged zombie.
Oh, and the logo change is only for NA, everyone else is chill about hanging zombies.

Banned in the UK, ha. We have one of the laxest rating systems in the EU. Manhunt 2 was a freak case that cropped up after some murders, and it eventually got passed. Germany is pretty harsh; CryTek were considering moving out because of the restrictions.
Anyway, OP is an idiot, the game was only just released, not delayed because of bans. And there is a topic for Dead Island already to discuss it.

Tanasinn
The Bellpepper
Besides the logo change there was a bit of a uproar over the commercial featuring the little girl dying in the arms of her parents because of the zombie attack [she then comes back to life and helps the other zombies kill her parents]

[font=verdana][color=green]Yup. Germany are very harsh; they've only just recently allowed the original Doom to be sold in their country after 17 years.

Then you could have looked for a different source, quoted your source, posted in the existing thread, asked 'is it true' rather than believing it outright...any number of things that would have made you look less retarded.

It makes me both angry, and sick, to look at his OP...look at all of those sideways stalagmites/stalactites he's got there...
