I'm getting Xbox Live soon so I can play online with my friends because only a few of them have a PS3, so I'm going to need some good multiplayer games and I'd like some suggestions. Exclusives only please and I am already getting Halo:Reach so if you can offer any other good multiplayer exclusives I'd really appreciate it.

monster hunter frontier. You do realize this game has only been released in Japan. With no plans for it to be released in America or Europe.
here is link to that wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monster_Hunter_Frontier
OT: As long as you play private matches with your friends (though you won't lvl. and have better guns then the basics given) is Modern Warfare 2. Halo 3 of course but your getting Reach from what you said so that should do. Rock band 2 is fun if you have the right people. and other than those I have not really played multiplayer much.
With getting Xbox Live do know you can alwayas find fun games in the arcade and Indie games area of The Game Marketplace.
Suggestions from there though some are not multiplayer would be.
Indie games: (cheapy fun, quickly made games)
I made a game with zombies (same system Multi)
Old School Racer (No Multi, but can try to beat frends times)
Arcade games: (more than indie but time was taken to add many details to game do trial versions before you buy.)
Trials hd ( NO Multi, but again can try and beat friends times)
Marble Blast Ultra (Actually this could be a good Multiplayer depending if you like the game or not)
I have more just can't think of any right now.

Transformers war for cyberton is pretty good short campain mode but a it has a damn decent multiplayer.
Call of duty is always good but id just wait till Black Ops in a few monthes.
Left 4 Dead is also amazing for multiplayer.

Since its pretty cheap right now, Halo: ODST is pretty good for its multiplayer content.
Splinter Cell: Conviction is awesome if you use your voicechat during 2-player.
I havent played it yet but i heard Crackdown 2 is pretty good, with multiplayer chaos in the city.

Asking for exclusives only really thins out my list, but...
From what I hear Gears of War 2 is supposed to have a good multiplayer, but I haven't played it myself. Left 4 Dead 2 is a great multi/online coop game. Saints Row 2 is pretty cheap now and has a chaotic, over the top, and very fun singleplayer with satisfying multiplayer and coop. For racing, you should give Forza Motorsport 3 a look. It's a very high quality racer with respectable customization and tuning options and a wide range of usable cars. Though I don't use it much, Forza's online auction house is also worth mentioning. I have to agree with Halo 3: ODST if you're looking for multiplayer. With firefight and the complete Halo 3 multiplayer, it's a good buy at the moment. Only problem is that the firefight lacks a matchmaker, which is going to be fixed for Reach.
I know it doesn't have multiplayer, but I recommend Mass effect 1 & 2 for those days when you get burnt out of multi and would rather play a solid singleplayer game by yourself.

Most of the good ones are cross-platform. Unless you were including PC, then I would suggest the Left 4 Dead games. Other than that and Halo then there really isn't any good exclusive multiplayer games. Yes, yes, I know I didn't say Gears, but I for one don't like Gears.
You two do realize that Tales of Vesperia is local multiplayer only, right?

Yes, but I was too lazy to say, still a fun game though

True enough. Best JRPG on the system as well as Lost Odyssey.
I forgot about Bioshock 2. If they will EVER fix the damn lag issues, Bioshock 2's multiplayer is actually pretty fun. Only problem I have is with team balance. Bioshock 2 is a game where level actually does indicate something. It's hardly fair to face a team of Level 50s who have full access to weapons, plasmids and combinations against those who have only the basics to work with.
