I have all current gen consoles. If a game comes out on a multi-platform system then I buy it for the PS3. I go with whatever is the stronger system hardware-wise at the time. Last gen it was XBOX hands down which was stronger at the time, Playstation is this gen's time to shine.err what i thought last gen Playstation 2 is the best and still is the best selling console to date 0_0
As off now WII is still the most wanted console.
Anyways I would suggest checking with your friends what console they have or planning to buy.If they have the same console, you can pool together money to buy or share games instead.Much cheaper and everyone is happy ^^
I said hardware-wise, not games-wise.

As long as you dont have to pay to play online on a ps3 (Hell if i know) ps3 all the way. Why? MAG. 256 players is worth it hands down.
I would buy MAG if it wasnt the fact you are bound to one army for that character
- -;;
I meant its nothing wrong but if you have friends, you have to make sure all of them join the same army if you wan to play coop.
Should have just made each player a free lancer and join which side of the battle they want before the match.
I played Domination on the beta and fking hell it was confusing.

So i liek heard that FFXIII didn't saved the Ps3~or what yo say Holic?

I say that it sold over a million in it's first week when just released on a small island (Japan). It's almost at two million and it's not even out in America or the U.K. Also, I have no idea what your definition of 'saved' is, but the PS3 is by no means failing anymore (not that it ever was in my opinion). If you still want to stay in your little bubble and bash the PS3 for past events go ahead. Meanwhile, the rest of us are too busy having fun playing on our PS3's.

360 cause most games I like are on this system plus my friends have it and it has a better online system.

Depends on the games you want to play. If you want a console purely for (online) gaming, so not as a media-system, I'd go for the X360.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I say ps3 since it has what I like. Also my 360 is broke. The ONLY reason ill ever get it fixed is for Tales of Vesperia

It always depends on the kind of games you want to play. Just do a little research on the games for each and decide which ones you want to play more.
But I must say, don't talk about which controllers are best for FPS's... you're on a console, they all equally suck.

Ps3 because i don't play console games much. Lot's of exclusive content now on the Ps3 due to blue-ray file size capacity. More quality exclusive games on the PS3 which is mostly what I only play. If I want to play a shooter, I play it on a PC. The only 3 games that are not on the PC are Fable (didn't like), Halo (lawl) and gear of war 2 (meh). Like many said, online is free, and I play way too casually on a console, specially in MP. When i play games on console I play for SP.

Got the Wii when it came out and just got a second PS3. I've played Xbox and PS3 and I just like everything about PS3 better. THe controller, the layout, the look, the online, I understand it's not for everyone, but I recommend it. Especially with FFXIII and Versus XIII <3. Point is PS3 is the way to go in my opinion.

I got a 360 but it was knocked over in an accident and I got a wii last year. Personally, there weren't many games on the xbox that interested me and I didn't have Live so =/. I'm saving up for a ps3 right now.

I gotta say both have their pros and cons, though the PS3 does have a longer life expectancy.
The 360 is a good machine, but the game lineup is mainly FPS or something with Shooting and while the PS3 is a bit behind on the game library, they have more potential given blu-ray discs are virtually huge compared to DVD/HD-DVD. They both have a K.O. feature (360 RRoD PS3 YLoD) and both have substantially dropped in price, so it isn't all too big of deal with money now. Plus the Free Online play for PS3 is a good plus while 360 you need to pocket out 100 bucks for a Wireless Adapter that should be in there in the first place (Sometimes I just wanna go "HEY MICROSOFT GET WITH THE TIMES!!! YOUR LAPTOP GOT A WIRELESS ADAPTER WHY CAN'T YOUR GAMING SYSTEM!!!).

Agreed, I use my 360 controller for my PC also. I think it is all the hype in a way. When one thing comes out the other team needs to fight cause if not it becomes a monopoly. Though I will say get a 360 cause this is supposedly their "last system". I don't know how much of that is true but heck get them while their still here
