You know you've played too much when...

...your thumbs get swollen and sore. Happened to me just yesterday. Played Katamari Forever on PS3 for like 10 hours straight. And even now the tips of my thumbs are swollen and a bit sore. Says much about the PS3 controller. Never happened to me when I played the other katamari game on xbox for the whole day :/ Still going to play more today!
Please only things that have happened to you or to someone you know! Pref no "...you're dead" because well, you know D;

When You Reach 10th Prestige, Rank 55 on Call of Duty 4 and you look at yourself in the mirror and say
"What the fuck am I doing"

When I play too long for me it's when I go to bed and close my eyes all I get is flash backs and dream about what I should of done or will do it's really annoying it goes away with a couple of days of not playing.
When I was 13 I played Pokemon Silver pretty much every day for about 2 years and when ever it was quiet I could hear the theme tune in my head it took about a year of not playing it for it to go away.

"What the fuck am I doing"My exact thought when I realised I had 18h of playtime into DA2, on my first go at the game.

Whenever I play Guitair Hero with a normal controller I find myself stretching out my thumbs so much that it begins to hurt =/ I can't not do it. Never tried playing the game with the G-controller... seeing as that thing was expensive at the time... Still won't buy it just to play that one type of game =/

That usually only happens when I play Dance Central for 6 hours straight, but rather than thumbs, my legs.

...When you turn on a game you never remember playing and seeing you have a save file with 97 hours of gameplay time.

Yeah, i played it three or four times, never finished it though. I mean, the story is solid and all, but gameplay is waaaaaay to repetive. And using the same dungeonmap for basically all dungeons is not ok.

Nope. Garbage game is garbage.
Recycled environments, no exploration, boring team members (besides Varric), no customization, and pretty boring story till near the end.
But one of the major reasons I hate the game is that Dragon Age was suppose to be a throwback to the old Dungeons and Dragons day. It's suppose to be slow and methodical with a lot of proper planning. But nope. BioWare decided to fuck it all up and made it with the console in my mind first as a more hack and slash game.
The one of the few good things about the game are the cameo appearances by the old DA:O crew.

Well, I liked the characters. And yes, they did use the same dungeons again and again, but it didnt bother me that much, I just tried not to think about it (and it was easy, I was high) and I played it on xbox, so I was quite happy they made it with the consoles in mind <3

Two trippy cases when this happened to me:
1) I pulled an all nighter playing Super Smash Bros Brawl three days after the release date. When I got home from my friends house, who had the game, I was hallucinating Mario doing flips on my syrup bottle.
2) I played Guitar Hero for a good hour and I saw a "flowing" pattern on my wall. That's what I get for gazing so hard at those gems.
And a funny joke for the Zelda fans:
You know you've played too much Zelda when you get all blue clothing and steel toe boots, and go to a lake because you could've sworn you seen a piece of heart down there.

This has been inside my head for days :(

When I opened the door and saw the bright sunlight. I played DotA & Sengoku Rance for 18 hours in my no-ventilation room, all night long. And then I looked myself at the mirror, with my stupid messy hair and swollen eyes, and said "I'm going to miss the college today. Fuck I'm sleep now."

I played Assassins Creed 2 all night once, and the next day I felt myself looking at buildings in town and wondering how to climb them. Also a friend of mine put silicon lubricant on his ps3 controller because his hands were too dry to play Mortal Kombat 9.

I hate it how some people dont do that and their originally shiny and sleek controllers are so dirty that they arent shiny anymore and you can actually feel all the shit on them, and if you scrape it, the stuff comes off D: ewww~
I even clean all the dirt that gets in the seams off with a some non-sharp needle or some other thin thing D: And the same goes with my mouse too.
