Your fighting game style

When playing a particular fighting game, everyone seems to have their own style. I'm gonna break them down into three parts:
1) Offensive: You're always the first one to attack. What you lack in defense you more than make up for while dealing heavy damage to your opponent. If you don't have a well polished foundation or pattern, then you're most likely just a button masher who blindly attacks their opponent.
2) Defensive: You're calm and collected while waiting for your opponent to attack. One false move on their part and you punish them with a parry or quick combo. These types of players usually fall short when they face characters they are unfamiliar with. Also, because they are not as aggressive, they run the chance of being predictable. If the opponent can see through your plan to counter attack, all they have to do is change tactics to throw you off your game.
3) Balanced: The most powerful out of the three styles. You're both calculating and aggressive towards your opponent. What throws people off the most with players who use this style is the fact that they are extremely unpredictable. They don't know whether you'll attack or defend. Only highly skilled players can effectively use this style. Unskilled players just end up confusing themselves which leads to falling into the opponent's pace.
So which style do you have? If you're gonna say balance, then I assume you have a high rank to back it up. As for me, I'm an offensive type. I hate blocking, but I'll parry attacks if I get the chance. I try to be balanced, but I'm just not that skilled.

im gonna say that im one of those who love offensive..
i like to end games really quick and maybe have a little more time to torment them while i'm still on top, though i dont do button mashing, still go with combos.. but when i notice that my opponent seems to be alot better than me at anything i do, i go defensive (change of styles)
offense is the best defence

I personally think it depends on what kind of fighter you're playing, I play most types of fighters over the years so my styles vary.
If it's Street Fighter, I usually be patient and try to expose my opponent's weakness by suddenly rushing with a quick, yet effective combo. Get them into a vunerable spot, as in knocking them into the air, unleash super attack, I usually am good with Ryu with this.
If it's Guilty Gear, rush down is key, with a mix of mind games of grabbing, then OTG into combo. I usually use Baiken's defensive counters for this over people like Sol, Ky, or Chipp which everybody else prefers.
For Blazblue, the same combo rush technique, a free grab means an opportunity to combo my opponent afterwards, or use a character that also uses combo and mind games. I use both Ragna and Litchi for this since I'm only good with those two.
If it's SoulCalibur, I like using characters with short range weapons, because some of them are capable of short and simple damaging combos. I usually dodge to the enemy's side then unleash the combo attack if they aren't blocking.
That's all from me.

Offensive I guess, cause I like to attack quick then go back then strike again, so I like quick combos which leaves me way to escape and then to attack again with another combo ;D
Well I play Taokaka in Blazblue, Tira in SoulCalibur and Cammy in street fighter.

That sounds like a borderline balance fighter to me. People who can fight aggressively, then keep a safe distance from their opponent has good offense and defense capabilities. If it were me, I'd just keep trying to follow up with another combo while I down the other player, rather than seek personal space from them.

I'm more of the offensive type, I often block late. So it's better for me to keep pressuring. But it really depends on the character that I'm using too.
If I really like a Counter Type character, I would use the Defensive style obviously.

Offensive. After I know all of their moves, I'll go Semi Offensive. Something like attack, defend, counter, attack, defend, counter. I often lose though. lol

The only fighting game ive extensively played was Soul Calibur, and I mainly use Astaroth and Nightmare. I play on the offensive side, mainly because in SC2, Astaroths final weapon didnt allow him to block.

I'm more balanced/offensive. I like taking the offensive for the most part, but if my opponnent is tougher than I initially thought, I'd take a step back and try a different strategy.
I like using either Nightmare or Yung Seung in Soul Calibur, prefering the former's strength and range and the latter's speed and balance.
When playing MvC3, I tend to change my tactics to occommodate for my opponent and as such typically fight with a team consisting of Taskmaster, Deadpool, and Doom.
In Mortal Kombat, I like to catch my opponent off guard and use fighters that are capable of teleporting, including Noob, Scorpion, and the like.

I'd say I'm an balanced player in that that I tend to wait for my opponent to make the first move and observe his play style at first, staying just outside his reach, but I attack quickly if I find a chance or think I can surprise my opponent. Then again, I'm not a very skilled player in general, so what style I use don't matter much.

I think I'm the first to say this, but I'm a defensive type..
I love to observe my enemy and look a it's weak spots, plus I don't turn predictable cause I unintentionally make a "pattern" when I use offense, plus offense pressures me on keeping an up tempo and w/c causes me to randomly push buttons.
