Usually distributors for figures get their figures sent to them via surface mail (i.e., by boat). If the figure has been released in Japan, I'd tack on about 3-4 months onto the Japanese release date to get a rough idea of when to expect it to get shipped by FAKKU based on the last couple of figures I've gotten from distributors outside of Japan (although I think it was usually about 1-2 months pre-pandemic).

Seems to work for me for the most part. What tags are you searching? It doesn't work for some controversial tags like forced, incest, loli, etc if that's what you're searching for. It's annoying that those tags don't work especially since some controversial tags do

  • Possibly if FAKKU skipped physical releases, for certain books, they might be able to broaden their offerings. If I remember correctly, that was the reason NTR2 got canned, in that it was too hot for most printing companies to handle.

Actually, NTR2 was canceled due to not being able to find a payment processor that would be willing to handle payments for it.

Most payment processors in the US don't even allow any transactions involving adult good and those that do can be selective about the content of the adult goods that they allow transactions for. This is because, while pornography is considered free speech under the 1st Amendment in the US, it can be possible for a piece of pornographic material to be deemed obscene by a court of law and thus lose its free speech protection. Consequently, a payment processor may find itself in legal trouble if found to be allowing transactions on material deemed obscene. As such, payment processors are more likely to refuse to allow transactions for works involving extreme content, such as loli and shota, even though the material itself is legal in the US unless deemed obscene.

I noticed today that when trying to add more than what's in stock of an item on the store page, the main site's cart counter will still go up even though nothing gets added to the cart.

I had a figure that I had pre-ordered and saw that it was in stock in the store. I figured that it just hadn't shipped yet, but was curious how many were in stock. I used the exploit of adding as many of one item to your cart until it gets an error that you can't add anymore to see how many of an item are in stock and that's when I encountered the bug.

iv'e never actually read any of them but most of the covers don't excite me. fine i'll read some
I’ll admit some of the covers aren’t jaw dropping for excitement but his actual art and stories are really good. I love his art more than his stories, though lol

Same for me, really happy to have been able to go into the future to grab those.

Are those imgur images of real English translated paperbacks? If so I want to know how to get these 🤤

I believe those are French releases.

Glad to see I’m not the only one with this problem. Triple Chocolate Fantasy is also locked as an Enshodo work.
Yeah it kinda sucks now. Enshodo went away and Irodori picked up where they left off and are arguably doing a way better job. But a few of their works didnt get picked up, so things like Triple Chocolate Fantasy are lost to the void. Im particularly sad that almost all of the Shindo L doujins are gone and that we probably wont be seeing more of his stuff unless he self publishes or publishes them through fakku or irodori.

I'm pretty sure some of Enshodo's previous works that Irodori now publishes weren't in Irodori's initial catalogue. For example, I'm pretty sure that not all of Shindou's work was initially migrated to Irodori, but now it is. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually republish the rest of Enshodo's work similar to what happened with Enshodo and Shikimaya.

Seeing as they probably need to contact each artist to reach an agreement about distribution rights, it could take awhile for them to do this. It might be worth trying to contact Irodori to let them know you're interested in seeing these artists continued to be published.

Hopefully they'll end up being republished by Irodori. Shindo L, Highlow, and Booch are some of my favorite artists and it'd be a shame not to see anything else by them get published and for people that want to buy their work to not be able to.

Just to confirm, is the dakimakura is 160cm by 50cm?

Also, I was wondering who the manufacture of the dakimakura is. I'd assume that the material is some sort of 2 way tricot from the price, but seeing as each company has their own blend(s) I was just curious about what to expect.

I think the "Unlimited" tag is the "Subscription" tag but renamed, but I'm not sure. Looks like the "Subscription" tag is gone and what was previously tagged with it now has the "Unlimited" tag.

I agree that having tag definitions would be great especially for tags that use Japanese terms. It could also provide a more standardized definition of tags where someone's personal definition might not match FAKKU's.

Also, having a list of related tags might also be a nice addition as well as a definition. For instance, the "Cheating" tag might include related tags like "Netorare", "Netorase", and "Netori" since all three of those are different flavors of cheating.

Maybe the thread about the SFX not getting translated deleted means they're backpedaling on that decision based on feedback, but who knows until there's official word.

Personally, I felt disappointed by the decision, but I understand that they want to translate more stuff. It just seems like it would sacrifice quality though.

Also, why is there so few hard copies of doujinshi? Feels like it's 1 in every 20 have the option. Would really like to see an increase in hard copy options since it's nice to have a physical collection.

In regards to doujinshi, I think there's a shortage of hard copies because of the nature of doujinshi. Artists make a limited supply of 500 or whatever, sell them at Comiket and that's it.

That true for like 90% of the doujins. The major circles have more ability to buy for more copies. On topic sure a physical tag might be needed but none of the fakku doujin are physical except the ones we do for AX aka the boxes. So it would be a tagging issue for the store. Which most of the oni ones have reprinted uncensored doujins i think. The rest are sold out the last time i looked.

Damn, never realized that they made English prints of the Mating with Oni doujins (looks like it's just the first three that have been printed in English). I remember hearing about the possibility of them having physical releases about a year ago, but never heard about them being available.

I do agree that having a physical tag for releases would be nice especially if it could also be implemented with a filtering system to see if it's in-stock or not.

Out of curiosity, when does the $10 discount for Hanafuda if you've previously purchased the digital get applied? I'm at the payment section of checkout of it and it doesn't seem to be applied.

Edit: Looks like it's now applied

Would it be possible to tweak the reader controls so that the left and right arrow keys can change pages (or "a" and "d" if using wasd)? From what I remember, the old reader had it so that when the left or right edge of the page was hit and a further key was pressed, the page would change.

That's exactly how it works now, actually.

Huh... it doesn't work for me. The arrow keys only do anything if the page is larger than the window. Oddly enough, I tried it in Chrome and it seems to work (I usually use Firefox)

EDIT: actually I found the issue. It looks like somehow when the reader was updated, the UI Control Direction somehow got set to "Unavailable"

Just wondering since my right hand is usually kind of busy when using the reader and using space to go forward and backspace to go back is a little cumbersome.

It probably depends on what carrier is sending the package and if they price shipping based on weight, on dimensions, or some combination of the two.

While figures tend to occupy more space, they generally aren't very heavy. Out of curiosity, I compared the weight of two figures I had boxed-up (one was a 1/5 scale and the other was a 1/6 scale figure) and 4 FAKKU books and there actually wasn't that much difference in weight. In fact, the books were slightly heavier than the figures.

As someone else that tends to be in-between medium and large sizes for t-shirts, I can relate to this. I think all of FAKKU's shirts are printed on American Apparel t-shirts, so you could get an idea of the fit if you have another t-shirt that's printed on an American Apparel t-shirt. American Apparel t-shirts tend to be slimmer than other brands, such as Gildan, so you might want to go for a large, but that's just my 2 cents.
