Yeah, crickets can be delicious! I eat the legs too though, if they're deep fried.
Erm, back on topic. Yes, I've had absinthe. Actually, I just had a nice drink made with it a couple of days ago when I went to a jazz bar. It was a bit too sweet, but whatever.
I've never been scared of spiders. Surprised, maybe, but not scared.

Even if they say, "make yourself at home", I really just stay out of the way and ask before I do anything. This, it's considered rude if you don't ask for permission here, even though they already said "that"
I feel when they say that it an absolute lie. Some sort of custom to say that isn't true to carry out. Also it is someones house so to impose is very disrespectful.
Yeah, "make yourselves at home" is very vague, so I generally don't say that. My preferred phrase is "if you need anything, just ask," and the guests generally do--I'm not very picky about sharing most things.

is there anyone who wants to do anything? i did check out citywalk so i might go there and i also stay like 5 minutes from the block and im also going to powerhouse concert at the end of the month if anyone wants to go. also are there any good eats around?Good eats in Santa Ana--hell yeah! If you like Venezuelan food, check out Mil Jugos and order the Todos arepa. Chicken Maison is also good, but a bit greasy and very garlicky (which I love, but YMMV). For Pho...can't really make any recommendations because for some reason I have a taste aversion to it, but most of the places should have at least passable pho.
I'm a bit of a foodie, so if you tell me where you're going, I can probably recommend a few good restaurants in the area.
Yeah, this is probably one of the nicest threads on Fakku, lol. And hurrah for it having more activity! It's been dead lately.
@Mz: Try the Missha #31--I'm tan too and that's what I use in the summer. In the winter it's #23.

I've lost it. To a glorious one-night stand with a friend. Well, it was more like a one-whole-day stand, really. Best first time ever!

@Lazuline: yeah, that's not weird--many women don't like makeup either. What topics are you more interested in?
@Mz: If you're dark-skinned, unfortunately Missha is the only brand that carries a dark enough BB cream, but if you're lighter-skinned there's a wider variety.

Yes smashbox is expensive... but make up forever is also. I use the foundation from them because it really feels light and i feel like i am not wearing anything xDMissha Perfect Cover... never heard of that ... maybe i should look around more xD But yeah i just wear it when i go out... or when i have the time to make myself pretty xD Other than that... i usually just go out without any make up on.
The BB Creams are more of an Asian thing--many Asian women use that instead of foundation because it's a foundation/concealer/spf/skin-improving thing all in one. You can get them in the West through Ebay or something.
Smashbox is nice but pricey T^T
I just tend to use drugstore brand makeup, usually Maybelline for their mascaras, L'Oreal for the eyeshadow and eyeliner (the stilletto line of eyeliner/mascara is a thing of beauty). I use Missha Perfect Cover BB cream as my foundation though, because even if it's pricey it just takes a teensy weensy squeeze to cover my entire face and neck, whereas other foundations need a lot more to cover up my freckles/scars/whatever.

I have my own pool so...yes. *cue nosebleeds*
I've never read the rest of the Twilight books. I stopped after the first few pages of New Moon.

I have--I go watch a film about once a month, unless there is truly nothing interesting at the cinema. In the US they don't usually have a ticket check for each theatre, so I sometimes get to watch 2 movies for the price of one. But shhhhh, don't tell on me!
I have never made a proper soufflé.

It can be nice with lots and lots of preparation and lube.

Oh hey, another Fakker in the LA Area.
Hollywood
China Town
Little Tokyo
Record stores, Amoeba and Origami Vinyl are the best in my opinion
Few book stores
idk this is hard since idk what you like to doooo
That's a great place to start, but if you tell us your budget and what you're into, we can probably suggest more stuff for you to do. Since you're in the OC, I'd say check out the beaches, Downtown Disney, maybe the Bower and Fullerton Art Museums if you're into that sort of thing.

Hmmmn... Pork Sinigang is good, and shrimp, too...

Oh and random--there was a duck outside my window this morning. A freaking duck. I have no idea where it came from and why it was in the middle of the city, but oh well. I wanted to either a) have my dog chase it away, or b) shoot it and eat it for dinner, but unfortunately (or fortunately for the duck,) it flew off before I could do either. XD

If you don't want to paint your gun directly, I suggest covering it with papier mache first, then sanding, then doing the paint. That way, if you mess up the paint, you can just crack and peel the papier mache and do it over.
