Sad Dreams

Have you guys ever had a really sad dream and when you woke up you were crying or near the point of crying?

Yea, pretty much any emotion I feel in a dream I feel when I wake up it often effects the rest of my day if the dream was sad or happy I'll feel it the whole day.

It was connected to one of my relatives and that she helped me so much in my life and I just could not thank her for everything untill she will die making me feel like a complete jerk...

I've had a few, but I usually never remember them when I wake up and I always wake up wondering what made me feel so sad.

I had a few, but the most sad one was when my mother died in my dream. I cried the shit out of me in the dream.
When I waked up my face was wet, means I cried in real life while I was dreaming.
It really hit me hard. That may sound cheesy, but I hugged my mum so tight...

Yes but I dont really remember my dreams, or if I do at least not for a long time so I cant tell what it was.

I had one, it was my very first too. I think around months ago.

I woke up feeling so sad like I feel like every sad energy out there is flowing out of me while I'm crying.


The story was very vague, it was about some sad mother asking me to save her daughter.
I then vaguely remember that I enter this forest later stopping at a big tree and saw a girl there almost corrupted by something like a curse. I felt very sad that I couldn't save that soul.

That's when I woke up.

i haven't had a sad dream to the point of waking up crying
but i've been really upset before in a dream and woke up yelling no!

I'm crying in my dream and when I woke up, oh.. I really am crying. I just don't know the reason why. I just feel so sad.

Okay so, I had this nightmare where it all starts real nice and happy until it gets dark and it starts to actually get scary.

So I remember that I was around my old neighborhood(I don't live there anymore) and a school friend I know is in it also including my uncle and others I don't remember. So it gets dark out of nowhere and I start to run real fast while holding onto the school friend(girl). Then we end up being in my neighborhood and my uncle just out of nowhere says 'Watch out' or something. Then I start to get really scared and start to panic and run towards my house. My uncle was in there first and he says to me that 'You don't want to go in there'. I, of course, go in there and I see something in the living room ( the lights were turned off). So I turn on the lights and I see blood everywhere and I see my mom lying there with other people. My mom's face had this REALLY horrific facial expression(Kind of like those really scary death faces you see in movies or games) and I start to cry just from seeing that scene.

I eventually wake up from that nightmare and just start uncontrollably crying. This happen a 7 months ago and I still remember it.

I had one the other night. Me and my dad were watching cnn/fox news and breaking story appeared that a nuclear bomb (terrorist attack) had gone off in a major U.S. city (cant remember which one). Anyways, I remember the T.V. showing images of the mushroom cloud and I remember I started to cry because I was sad about how many people had died. I remember my family started to pack emergency supplies when the T.V. said another city had been hit and that's when I started feeling really scared. I don't remember much after that just that I was crying and packing my belongings because we were going to leave the city for a while.

Coincidently, two days ago I relived my past in my dream up to a certain point, but I was waked up since I was literally screaming in my sleep.

I wanted to forget what happen, but now I can't get the events out of my head.

I had a dream where I was talking to my deceased Grandfather. The dream was short, but powerful and got the job done.

I think these kind of dreams are used in a way to relieve emotional stress that is occurred in our everyday lives. Makes sense to me, does it make sense to anyone else?

well... not crying. I woke up believing that everything that happened were true. the dream was about my mother dying and we were all sad. in the end of the dream I went to sleep so I thought when I woke up that everything was true.

Don't remember what the dreams were but on several occasions i have woke up in the middle of the night crying.

It happens to me, just on a rare occasion. I remember this one dream that my grandfather was in his deathbed and he was telling me how proud of me he was. That's when I started to cry because I felt like I failed him by the time I find the words to begin to apologize for my behavior and stupidity over the years, I wake up crying. And I usually carry this sadness in my heart.

Once. It happened in my college period. I dreamt that my wife (that time she was my girlfriend) died, and I'm attending her funeral.

I have dreams of running inside the devil's city being chased my large crowds of people screaming, " THATS THE DEVIL. KILL HIM. " Then, I was overtaken by the insane mob in a fury of hatred.

I had a dream with people beating there dogs, it made me cry, then i woke up still crying, so i hugged my dog.
I still don't know why i had that dream.

I had a really bad nightmare that repeats over and over;It started when I was around 14, up till now. It comes every few months now. So to get a detail of whats happening, Ill give you some facts about it.

My dad's side of the family shows a perfect family attitude in front of each other, when they are really just trying to beat each other in any way possible. They caused a lot of stress in my mother's side of the family. Mostly it happens to my mother who always kept a big smile for my dad when he is completely gullible to what his family says. I would see my mom being talked down to when I was younger and the memory of what they would say and do to her built up as time went by. At the time, I hated my dad's side for being like this to my mother and her family, so I couldn't do much but talk to my mother about my dad's family problems and try to convince my dad about his family, which would lead to him ignoring it. Then when my aunt slapped me because she said I wasn't spending quality time with my own mom. It caused my mother to snap and defend me and my brother against what my aunt said. This caused my dad and mom's family to have a huge in-fight with everything being in the spotlight. But that should suffice for the facts.

- Well to start off, I would be outside a two story house that belong to my Uncle who lives in Washington. As I walk to his house I would have flashbacks of my mother and father fighting over how my dad's sister is to my mother and how his family is backing her when she is guilty for her actions. As the flashback ends I would here a evil voice(the voice varies from a small child to an eerie old man:just picture the crawler's voice in fable 3) calling out for me spouting: "your family is fucked up because of your pitiful existence""Your mother suffers because of YOU!!!" "your mother hated conceiving you!" " You delight hating your family" "Its all you fault" "You want them all to suffer!" I would cover my ears and avoid the whispers coming at me and approach my uncles house. As I open the door, I would hear this huge demonic laugh echoing the entire house. When I open the door, I would see the doors, walls, and rooms covered in fresh blood, with indents on the wall showing like someone was being butchered slowly while being pulled away. I then heard my little niece scream from the hallway. I ran there while seeing the walls pouring with blood from the top to the bottom. As I ran for my niece's voice, I head the laughter from before and turned my head to seeing a dark shadow chasing me with a machete and knife in hand. I ran for my niece's voice like my life depended on it. The house corridors kept extending like it never ended, till I reached a door with a picture of my entire dad's family on it with their faces burnt out. I opened the door before the shadow swung the machete at me and slammed it while dodging the impalement the shadow caused on the door. As I walked away from the door, I saw my dad's family. They were all bound from their feet and hanged like how a pig is being lead through the slaughter house.They were all wearing their usual attire, but they had no skin throughout their whole body. I was speechless over the sight I saw. I then heard my niece scream again and went to find her. I was only then to notice that she was being skinned alive by a hooded figure who was laughing while skinning her. As I rushed towards them, I was surrounded by a ring of black fire that stopped me in my tracks. He then took his knife and slit my nieces throat while saying, "Sssshhhhh heehehehehehh little whore" He then turned to me and walked through the fire. He then removed his hood. I saw myself looking at me. He then said to me, "This is what you want boy!" "This is what all those useless fuck-ups you call a family deserve!" I then screamed as it walked towards me, then I would wake up from the nightmare.

I would be sweating like crazy while having my face covered in tears. And..thats my sad dream that I would have every few months.
