Your ramen ritual.

There seem to be a lot of other students on, so I thought I would ask:
What is your ramen ritual, how do you prepare your instant noodle product?
(It would be nice to swap notes)
I bring the water to a boil, and start the timer.
@3min remaining: add noodles, take a fork and mess the brick around a bit
@2min remaining: add flavour packet, if you are cooking with meat toss in a couple pieces
@1min remaining: turn stove off, leave it on the burner to slow the cooling.
@alarm: put in the same bowl I always eat it out of, Serve with Green tea or Mt. Dew.
If I have time to get fancy, I will add nuked veggies, meat(concurrent to flavour packet), and sometimes an egg(the white soaks up the flavours of everything else---good shit) @1min

--Preptime--
-Locate Ramen pack of some sort by going through the pantry for 20 minutes
-Find 14 other meal choices that would take more work, ignore them
-Open pack, put on counter, locate some sort of pot (another 10 minutes on a good day)
--The Process--
-Add water to pot, stare at it for a while and go through pantry one more time to see if there is a container of chicken stock I could use instead.
-Give up and add the damn water.
-Start bringing water to a boil and add random spices to kick up the flavor. Usually garlic powder, oregano, pepper of some sort, etc.
-Add ramen square and poke it vigorously with fork. Naturally this doesn't do anything, it's just fun. Also, it feels necessary.
-Stare at ramen with a frown before adding more random spices (sometimes veggies or meat) and hopefully separating the somewhat soften brick into individual noodles.
-Leave the room to wander off randomly (hopefully remembering that I was cooking ramen)
-Return and turn off heat, add spice packet and stir before pouring the whole thing into big blue cup.
-Enjoy

I usually just boil the noodles and add soy sauce or tapatio, no flavor packet, kind of plain...how boring.
If I have the stuff, I'll throw in some veggies, an egg, and cheap tofu.
Ramen ritual: Eat ramen... I'm still very very hungry.

You said it. I don't do particularly anything special to my ramen, especially since I get Cup Noodles. I live in a dorm after all, and the kitchen is 5 floors down with no elevator.

Well I have many ramen rituals, I choose one depending of my mood, the ingredients that I have and the time that I have.
I start it out by boiling water and cooking the noodles, then I strain the noodles and put it in a bowl and save it for later, if I decided to save the water that I boiled the noodles I either add the flavor package (beef or chicken, in here everything else is lame and rare), I throw some soy sauce for extra flavor, then few drops of roasted sesame oil, green onions, maybe an egg or two.
Sometimes I get a smoked sausage chop it in thin slices and fry them to add to the noodles, normally in this one I remove the sausages from the yummy fat that it let out and then I stir-fry on it some onions, after it is nice and golden I throw the broth which can be from the previous ritual, and the sausage.
The last step in these two is to add the broth and the extras over the noodles, sometimes I put a raw egg over the noodles and pour the boiling broth with everything on it over it.
A third one is to boil the noodles, strain it, whisk an egg, soy sauce, and thinly chopped green onions together in a bowl then throw the very hot noodles over the mix and eat it like that, it is yummy and very filling.
My fourth is to cook the noodles, strain it, throw chopped beef on the water and cook it for a long time to get a tasty beef broth out of it, then I follow the first ritual to make it even tastier. Eggs, sesame oil and green onions are a must as well.
Fifth, boil noodles, strain noodles, make broth with flavor package, fry an egg sunny side with soft yolk, throw noodles on a bowl, throw the egg over the noodles, throw broth over the noodles, sprinkle green onions over everything.
Sixth, boil noodles, throw flavor package contents, add eggs, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ice cubes to lower the temperature to 'not scald the throat', eat it.
The fifth and the sixth are fast noodles rituals for when I am not with time or in the mood to make the others.
Now my seventh ritual, open package of noodles, open flavor package, sprinkle flavor over the raw noodles, eat raw flavored noodles from the bag, either as a sandwich or as chips by breaking the noodles. This one is for when I don't feel like cooking or just want a quick and easy snack, you can't get easier than this.
I have few more rituals/ways of making instant noodles, but these are my most used ones.

1: Get Ramen packet and crush noodles.
2: Pour crushed noodles into porcelain bowl.
3: Guesstimate 1 1/3 cup (or 325ml) of water and pour into a glass cup and
microwave on high for 1:37.
4: Pour the (now very hot) water into said bowl and cover with a plastic plate.
5: Do a retarded dance and molest myself for 3 minutes until ramen is soft.
6: Pour out a lot of the water to make the flavor stronger.
7: Add flavor packet.
8: Dance some more.
9: Stir and eat.
10: Go back to Fakku!.
I have repeated these steps countless times since I was 6 (except for the last step, that was added about 5 months ago).

Do you want to eat a different kind of afford noodle dish? Go to your closest Asian grocery store and look for Instant Pancit Canton.
It's basically the same way you cook ramen.
1. Boil noodles.
2. remove cooked noodles out of the water.
3. Now mix in the spices that were inside the package on a plate or bowl.
4. Eat with chopsticks or whatever.
Trust me it's tasty, easy to cook, and cheap.
comment: sorry for making it sound like an advertisement, I've been eating it often lately and it's like an aphrodisiac, especially the hot and spicy flavor.

Bizarre, I've never had it taste like beef jerky before. Maybe you're not dancing right? Meh, maybe I'll make an instructional video or something...
