Over spicing food is stupid. Its just a tactic of killing taste buds so the person eating the dish doesn't end up tasting how bad the food is actually.
Spice is good, just not a stupid amount of spice.

Curious and Wondering
My typical homemade hot sauce consists of a dollop of ketchup and a handful of red and green peppers ("siling labuyo" in the Philippines). I mix them in a food processor and store it in a squeeze bottle.
Though if I can get "bhut jolokia" I'd try to ^_^
