[TCF December] Late entry!

Wrap
2 lbs beef eye of round or flank steak, cut in 3/4 inch thick sheets
1/4 tsp salt
1 piece lemon
1/2 cup soy sauce

Filling
1 piece medium sized carrot, cut into long strips
1 can vienna sausage, cut into long strips
2 spicy chorizo, cut into long strips
2 pieces pickled dill or sweet pickled cucumber, cut lengthwise divided into 4 equal pieces
4 hard boiled eggs, halved
1 bell pepper, cut into long strips

Sauce
2 cans tomato sauce
1 cup stuffed cocktail olives
1/2 can liver pate
1 bay leaf
1 onion minced
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
pepper to taste

1) Marinade the thin sheets of beef in the lemon, salt, and soy sauce for at least 30mins. In the meantime, cut all the ingredients for the filling into long, thin strips.

2) Lay the beef sheet flat, and arrange the filling onto it. It's sort of like making sushi, but with beef instead of nori.

3) Roll that shit up, just like rolling sushi, and tie it. Suture it if you want--it will help it hold better. Unlike my uncle, I'm lazy, so I just do the regular roast tie.

4) In a Dutch oven or any other large pan (I used a wok =_=), arrange the wrapped beef. Throw the sauce ingredients and any extra filling vegetables in there, then simmer it covered on medium or medium low for 2hrs or so, or until everything is tender.

5) Untie it, slice into 1 to 1.5in slices, and serve.
