Ah baking again.. i left the cooking world because i hate diners. You bitch on everything. 'Is the Creme fresh made with dairy?' 'Is the tart no carb?' 'I have the pate, but make sure there no meat.. i'm a vegan!'

I making one loaf and 3 small loaf but the recipe is for one standard loaf. One for desert apps and one for general eating and since im one of those people who haz diabeetus.. they are all half sugar, half fat people or low carb sugar.

that recipe is the same on hare but 1/2 cup sugar and 18 packs of sweet and low.
also i lkie mine with banana cream and special syrup.
Ingredients

1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts
Pinch of cinnamon

For lighter bread add 2 Teaspoon of baking powder.
And 1/8 of a cup of milk

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Oil and flour a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.

Using an electric mixer, cream the shortening and sugar. With the mixer running on medium speed, add the eggs one at a time. Add the bananas and mix well. Add the baking soda, salt, flour, nuts and cinnamon and mix thoroughly. The dough will be sticky.

Pour the dough into the prepared pan and bake about one hour or until the center is brown and set.

First Impression: Sounds tasty, good execution. Overall, very nice, and it is interesting the preparation steps you used. Anyone who considers themselves a "baker" would mix dry and wet ingredients separately and pride themselves on doing so. However, in the case of fruit or vegetable breads, that is NOT the acceptable process to use, and I'm glad your process utilized the correct method.

I cook like a normal human would. Well i made my own sourdough mother via natural fermentation. I found i like more rustic then what i was taught in the courses the head chef made me take so i can get a proper wage. I bake like my grandmother.. by what in your heart.. and what available... except divinity... no one can do it like "àvia grand-mère".
