[General] What anime got you into anime???

Before I knew what "Anime" was: DragonBall, Tenchi Universe, Doraemon, Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, Pokemon (had to stop after wierd crap started to show up at my house; yes it has a ghost!), Zoids Zero...Some of the advantages of living international, better Dubbed cartoons!!!!!



Here's a short story, once at a Suncoast, I saw the first volume of Love Hina, didn't get it at first, but after a few stops into the store, I got it eventually (BEST DECISION EVER!!!)...and thus came a cat, a dog, lupin, a scary woman with four invisible arms (that rape you!), Illpalazo (hard to spell his name), marionette, Sonic's movie, and everything else.



Yes! but first they need to fix the first movieeeeeee....."You discover Subs! :D)" *Redub it!*

DBZ - The english opening, corning now, but an upbeat pumping feel. The series that said, "Fuck you, superman!" Sailormoon, Ronin Warriors, Gundams series, and etc. All thanks to Toonami. R.I.P. Moltar n/ Tom

Well I watched pokemon when I was small child like most of you, but lost interest in any anime during my early teens. What re-awakened or rather officially got me into anime was that one cold night in which I was youtube-ing and ACCIDENTALLY clicked on a Code Geass episode. After that I would not have been convinced to track down and watch other anime's if it were not for all of the comments comparing Zero to Kira.

Well ill just say that I have come a long ways since then.

The first anime I ever watched was pokemon, but the one that got me into anime was naruto.

Its funny cuz i hated naruto until i played the ultimate ninja 2 game at my friend house.

I would say Inuyasha because it's the first real anime I saw but when I was watching it I didn't even know what anime was but then I watched this show called supergals and got hooked on anime ever since.

sailor moon -_- because of my big sis... then venus 5 with my classmate older brother..

EDITED: Now that I think about It... It was so embarrassing when I got older xD most of all sailor moon -_- yakk... WOW I got a lot of batch-mate here! hahahaha

Cowboy Bebop. It kind of sparked the interest, and then FLCL got me hooked.

Back before I knew what anime even was, I saw "Kiki's Delivery Service" as a kid, and watched things like Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. It wasn't until years later when I started watching Cartoon Network late at night on Fridays that I discovered .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet, which effectively got me into watching anime. I don't really even like the show anymore, lol.

The one that got me into anime, as opposed to my first? Hate to admit it, but that probably falls to Pokemon.

this is a funny question for me, because the first animes I ever watch'd were dbz,yu yu hakusho, pokemon, digimon, inuyasha, ect( any show that air'd around 1998(Age 7)-2002(age 11). since I was young at the time and didn't pay any attention to any other country's at the time I thought they were ordinary cartoons just flasher XD. Till I got a computer and learn they where called anime. being 11 at the time it cunfused me but at the same time I was hooked in watching it. i'd say some random ecchi/harem anime got me really into as it was something different than what i'd see on american animation. It had comedy, crap load of sexy girls and 1 lucky lil punk, so yea what ever show that was would 1 day introduce me into the this world and am glad it did.

Eureka Seven, Evangelion, and S-Cry-Ed, to name a few.
