Well, when I was a little girl I was ALL about Sailor Moon. But I didn't really start getting into Anime until I was around 13. I saw InuYasha on Adult Swim for the first time and fell in love. D;

Sailor Moon. ^_^ I was about 5 when I saw it. I've continued watching different anime from then on. My cousins introduced me to a lot of different ones growing up, and I watched it with them and my brother.

I'm not sure if I've replied to this topic already, and I'm quite lazy to figure it out, too.

Anyway, I believe it was Card Captor Sakura for me. It used to be shown on Toonami at Cartoon Network. Though it was badly English dubbed (even names changed, eww), it was still awesome.

Funny thing was, that was the ACTUAL English dub (I found out that they had different names in Japanese after finishing watching it), and it was still MILES above the crappy English dub Animax did. XP

I could guess that with my eyes closed. The voices may have fitted the characters, but name changing is an instant point killer for me.

And Animax mostly does crappy dubbing anyway. They use the same set of voice actors/actresses over and over who doesn't always work to use different voices to match the characters.

Original Japanese beats any dubs!

I began being interested in manga and anime by reading Ruroni Kenshin which was the first manga I have ever read (Or was it dragon ball, can't remember).
0
very first one was Digimon/Pokemon (they aired on the same day, but I don't know which I watched first), then Evangelion. Started getting into it after DBZ and Gundam Wing, and finally Inuyasha got me hooked.

I would have to say Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin, I used to watch them when they were on tv and those shows really got me into anime.
0
DBZ like most.

Pretty much Pokémon and Dragon Ball (not Dragon Ball Z, as I was already into anime when I started watching that one).

i gotta say that when i saw alucard from hellsing turning into a dog humaniod thing and ripped that dude apart... anime became a permanent part of my life

I had watched Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura on TV, but it wasn't until Hayao Miyazaki's Spiited Away that I finally understood what anime was and became an otaku

When I was a young young lad I first watched Gundam Wing. Thank you, Toonami (and Tom).
