It wasn't until baby be'el had that piss episode that I realized how good this could potentially be. It has so much potential for an anime, too. I can't wait for this to catch on.

I look forwrad to seeing Oga's tattoo explode into a complex spell of evilness. But seriously though those who haven't read it shouldn't even look at page two of this thread. So giving out spoilers is okay. ANyways I think The last of the Tohou Shiki is most likely god like, I mean Baby Satan( I don't call him B'L because it doesn't sound right) is sort of staggered by the sheer sheathed energy that Tojo contains.
Wonder what he looks like, but my guess is he may be connected to Natsume because Natsume has this really mysterious fighting skills that the rest of us haven't seen. And I love the chapter when all the third year baddies introduce themselves it sounds so cool~~

I hope this get's a little more shonen, where Oga has to "power up" with the tattoos, like he'll be fighting a demon or someone super strong like Jet Li or some shit.

Read all the chapters released thus far. Wasn't bad, but something kept bothering. When the main Oga first started talking about giving the baby away to a actual cruel person, i was a bit disappointed. However, when he talked about being a nicer person and the promise about not crying, i really liked it.
However, i felt that the last chapter totally ruined it. I mean, all that talk about being a nicer person and his promise to the baby went down the drain. And what makes it worse is that he doesn't seem worried abotu what might happen if the baby ends up in the hands of a actual bad person. it was stated early in the manga that the baby is meant to destroy humankind(or something to that effect), and that the baby was supposed to be given to a bad person to ensure this would happen. IF he gives the baby to a wrong person, this could happen, and he seems to have forgotten about that fact. From what i can tell, it seems like he is willing to possibly endanger all of humanity just to make his life more convenient. The manga can try to be as comedic as it wants about it, but he is basically risking the world to make his life easier. I;m sorry, but i can't really sympathize with a main character like that.

Lol have you really read the manga? You're impression of Oga seems to be that he is actualy a good guy lol. He doesnt' give a damn about the world ? That's why i like this manga xD.

Also, that's basically the fucking point. And besides, you assumed Oga as an all-around good guy like Luffy, Naruto, Ichigo and others, just because he's the main character.

thats why this manga is so awesome because it strays away from the regular nice guy routine...
i mean come on...a guy that likes to kick peoples asses so much so that he is known as the devil, then comes into contact with the devils son that he has to raise so that it can destroy the world...how can people not like that, oh and its funny...=/

Oga's a selfish guy, the only reason he started acting nice was because he didn't want to become a demon king, he doesn't want to be ruled by that stigma on his right hand. He doesn't give a shit about saving the world, if it wasn't for a number of plot devices to force him into being a parent he wouldn't have accepted Baby Be'el. The selling point about him is that the plot devices don't rely on pulling on his moral code or placing a noble responsibility on him. Rather, it draws from his overall bad ass nature and selfishness, he only accepts Baby Be'el cause the kid grew attached to him and would cry if seperated thus killing Oga. He doesn't give a fuck about anything else and that's why he continues to get rid of the nuisance that is the baby, he's annoyed and just wants to do whatever the fuck he wants.
While other mangas develop their protagonists off upstanding morals like Loyalty, Friendship, Vengeance, or Justice. This manga aims to develop the character of Oga through his overall self-serving attitude. He has attachments but he feels no genuine attachment, of course any manga worth it's salt will work to develop this closeness between characters, but it's just starting out, he can't really show how dynamic his personality is until the story progresses.

Wow i did not expect that from Furuichi. 2 Options there.
1) Either he's really hiding the fact he is indeed a very strong person and can kick ass(highly doubt it)
2) He did that without thinking and Oga will have to save his ass.(most likely to happen)

I think i may have left a wrong impression here. I don't need characters to be "goody goody". The main problem i had was that the thought didn't even seem to cross his mind. And also i felt like he was cheated out of some good character development. But whatever, that's just me
@aznstoner-I feel that both Naruto and Ichigo have turned into horribly naive and stupid characters
