I'm not sure how I feel about this. I mean, I get it. Fakku has a chance to become a legitimate website and part of a legitimate industry, which is probably the best thing a site creator can hope for...but...
I discovered this site back in '09 and fell in love with it. All the hentai I could want at my fingertips. Then I made an account to bookmark my more favorite works and for the last six years, everything was great. I was even all for it when they launched Fakku Books. A full body of work, uncensored, and fully translated to be read whenever I wanted for only $9.99 was a fair deal, as was paying extra for a hard copy(which I haven't done yet because I'm afraid my family would find it). Then...the "Subscription" option came...and then it all started changing. There were fewer freebies being uploaded, several of my favorites were purged from the site one by one, and now they're all gone and their return in in question.
Hopefully someone could see why I'm not ready to jump on the bandwagon just yet. For someone who has been coming to this site for so long and enjoyed the free content, the fact that I'm now being cockblocked by a paywall is a serious downer for me. At this moment, I pay a monthly fee for a gym membership, Netflix, Crunchyroll, and a bill for my phone. I don't need to tell any of you how that adds up. Like I said, I get why the site is going down this road, and I don't condemn them for it, but...do I really want to add an extra $12.95 a month to all my other subscriptions/memberships/bills for something that I have been graciously enjoying for the last six years for free?

I know there are other websites but from the first time I stumbled onto Fakku! looking for the School Days anime 7 years ago (wow really?) to now, this website was always my first and favorite spot. I'm saddened by the change but I understand its necessity. Things change. Heck, I was in high school 7 years ago and now I have an actual job and can pay for subscription, but I was mainly here for the doujin. Bring those back and my card is ready to go. Man, I'm gonna miss everything about this place. Except that horse head mask/thing Jacob. That always weirded me out.

So I'm assuming this is why my Favorites page is practically empty save for the more recent stuff. I'm all for legitimizing a business but that was a bit painful losing eight pages on my Favorites tab : ( I'll still support you guys more than likely so long as the content and books continue to keep flowing, just sucks losing like 7/8 of the collection lol. I'm assuming there's really no way to sort of look up what we had under our Favorites prior to the wipe is there? Had no idea the wipe was even really happening (really never participate in the forums so probably my own fault) so I never really bothered making a record of anything.

I stuck with you when you started removing content at a rapid rate, cause at least I still had eight pages of favorites to view. But coming back here after spending an hour last night looking for one really old Doujin, finally finding it, and coming back to it being gone. I'm done.

To be fair, being a neet isn't a lucrative lifestyle, why not milk the only chance of making any money right?? Who cares about the community that brought up the product,it's all about that hentai cash. Next plan is to charge per page.

I support this decision. I just hope that someday before I die, most of the doujinshi that we lost will come back as licensed, uncensored, and DRM free artwork.

There was a front page post about it less than a month ago. I'm sorry if this came as a surprise to some, but this didn't happen out of the blue, and it's a necessary step in order for the site to grow with more content, and eventually, more free content.

I was afraid thsi would happen back when the subscription thing came up and it finally did. I can see where they're coming from and all but there are enough free sites so meh...Guess this is goodbye :c
