News post? GASP?!

It has been a long while since I've had the time to do this. Very unfortunate for you guys, and for me, as it's something I enjoy doing. Life lately has been full of work, and nothing but that. I've spent the last few months completing my degree, becoming a nationally certified chef, and working hard at my job to earn a place in management (hooray corporate world making things difficult). Needless to say, all this has taken up a ton of my time, and I haven't had time for anything but that.

When things start to calm down, I will make more time to enjoy your guy's company (sry IRC :cry:) and bring you more fappage. Until then though, sporadic updates from me (I'm still keeping FAKKU-Subs under my thumb, don't worry) will prove to all those nay-sayers that say "Nikon's dead!" that I am, in fact, not dead... but ALIVE!

So down to business. It has come to my attention that there are claims traveling through the tubes of the internet that when FAKKU posts doujinshi/manga, we're taking credit for it. I'm going to put an end to this right here. We do not in any way, shape, or form, take any credit for other people's work. It is one of our highest standards here, and frankly it's insulting to hear. Tons of people work very hard to bring you this stuff, and we're just here to help share it. We do not stamp our logo on every page and we do not remove credit pages (if there isn't one in the pack it's because it wasn't there when we obtained it) like other sites have been known to do. These translations belong to the fine folks that take their time to bring you worthy translated material for free, and we pass that on to you for free.

It has also come to my attention that yesterday was April Fool's Day. And we did not fool you. I apologize for that. At least we didn't RickRoll you like the rest of the internet did, right?

I think that's enough rambling from me. I hope you all had a fun April Fool's Day, and I also want to wish a happy DMX April to those of you that observe it.

OK. Reading what Nikon wrote in the front page pissed me off, and now you've just proven to me that some of you out there are indisputably stupid.

Do you (in the plural sense) think we, as a scanlation team ourselves, don't know how much effort and time it takes to do a scanlation? We know, and therefore, unless we were the biggest fags on the internet, we won't do something that amounts to stealing. And, before someone tries to be a smartass, we are not the biggest fags on the internet.

But let's look at the issue in a different way. What about our releases? I don't mind if you rename our releases and rehost it or something, but I've already lost count on how many of our earlier releases had been reposted with the credits page removed, and someone even went as far as to remove the watermarks in one of our releases. And before you attack us on this issue, it is precisely because of you people out there that we watermark our releases. Without the credits page, how else could we leave our mark? I have no idea what's happening with the newer releases (I'm making it a point to stay away from the land of trolls that is 4chan, and rarely visit other English hentai sites), but I doubt things have improved.

All the [FAKKU] means is that you downloaded it from FAKKU. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just like other hentai sites tagging on their site name or url at the end of their filenames. If it's really that hard for you to wrap your head around it, then too bad. This format will not change.
