I've visited Fakku for quite some time. Made an account and started actually posting in 2010 though.

I've already graduated college for several years. Currently am in the military stationed in Germany having a decent time.

While in, I hope to get my masters in HR so that way I can use my experience to get a pretty good paying job once I leave the military.

I don't really do pictures. Only pictures I could do that are recent would be when I received my AAM.

I worked in Japan for a year doing the English teaching thing, but had to come back because of some visa issues. Would have got arrested otherwise lol. Now I'm still teaching English in the states. Found the website when I saw my younger brother on it, weirdly enough.

Nah my foot was caused by lake slime and bad doctor giving me the wrong meds for the wrong infection plus disregarding my claims of pain and sickness. I didn't reenlist after 12 years since with my diabetes would have not passes my physical exam. I was lucky they gave me a partial pension and medical for 2 years. Plus I wanted to be home.

Hi, Yoshii, de'Cypher or Simon, whatever you want.

I joined when I was still underage in 2011, I lurked before that in around 2010, was in a call with Tegumi and some other people, I still remember chatango and the likes, geez.

I got banned for a shit ton of banter but eventually let it play out and asked Jacob nicely, got back and got a namechange. Also, of course, I turned legal age so we gucci.

Still playing games, still bantering, life is good. Made a lot of friends from here, some more unlikely than others.

No bear tribute cuz I'm far too lazy, sorry Gambler.

Been a lurker since god knows how long, but joined at around 2k11. Started off randomly popping around mostly the Tech and Requests boards, then eventually settled into CTFG.

Been through multiple depression attacks and stuff, then got into our country's SAE team (we basically build formula cars) and now I'm... content but not happy per se, but it'll do.

Kinda got inactive in Fakku for a while because I became the head of my country's Touhou fanbase (which is a pretty large improvement considering I was just a normal member in Fakku's Touhou fanclub here back then), and now I'm one of the heads of a fast growing Type-Moon community.

I've been actively keeping contact with certain old members from Fakku as well, especially Symeria Shadowsong (who's now my drinking buddy) and iam1vs100xp.

Anyway, sup?

Since back then, I have gotten a big girl job in an office.

I also am going to Japan again this year! I still can't speak Japanese and nobody in my friend group that I'm going with can either...So that should be interesting! Haha!

I'm also still super into k-pop.

It has been quite some time. Glad to see you in an office job now. :)

Interesting situations would make memorable events when you reflect upon them in future. :D

K-pop is all the rage these days. Although I can't tell one Korean star from another, especially the females.

Hi Kuma-san!

I have to be one of the most inactive users here. Was already lurking late back in 2007 before I created an account in 2008, back in the days of RS. In real life, I'm a busy working single mom who has achieved considerable recognition in my chosen field and keeping myself competitive because such is the rigours of working life. I'm working hard because my child is a special needs boy and this mommy is thinking of setting up a social enterprise in the near future. Working and saving as much as I could right now. These days, I barely even have time to indulge in my hobbies, though I try to get my weekly dose of anime and toy photography. Priorities get shifted and yes, I miss the crazy banter here on fakku. Lots of love to the people who still remember me.

Keep working hard! You are a role model to lots of people, including myself, in overcoming obstacles and certain social stigma.

You will always have my morale support!

I've been studying Japanese for about 6 years, starting out with a year of self-study and then began studying it seriously it at school. Now I'm a second-year student of BA Japanese at uni, though I've actually just finished my second year. I'll be going on a study year abroad for my third year if I pass this year.

I'm an aspiring translator - something I've been working towards since I started learning Japanese. I'm currently a voluntary translator for JaME and also doing another voluntary translation job on the side which I recently started.

Also, nice to see a thread from you in IB!

Ooh. Somewhat envious. I wish I could study Japanese on a full-time basis too. I am still taking up part-time lessons and my proficiency of the language isn't all that good.

Perhaps we could communicate through other forms of social media while using (and practising) the Japanese language?

I reckon IB would be the most appropriate place to start such a thread. Not sure how users will respond beforehand. ^_^;;

I remember you as one of the "badass" members. :D

According to articles I have read, the military pays pretty well... or am I mistaken? However, having an additional skill set is always useful in life.

No pictures required. Your presence in this thread is greatly appreciated. :)

Have you reconsidered returning to Japan to teach English again?

Couldn't you have taken it up against the doctor for negligence or something along those lines?

And yes, it is always good to be home.

And I still miss Zak up to now. I have been here since 2008 or even before that. I was a lurker at that time but recently joined, so that I could see those stuff in the visual novel section. Speaking of which, there had been less activity there lately. Anyway, I eventually ended up posting in the forums, especially in the CTFG section.

Reality is hitting me hard, so I seldom post nowadays. I mostly post in that yandere fan club thread for updates every now and then.

The pay itself is kind of meh.

But you get a lot of benefits and that's really the better part of it.

Because even if you don't necessarily make a substantial amount in the military, you get a lot things like your rent and utilities paid for, you get money for food, you have pretty decent health coverage and you get a lot of help for going to school.

And if you're able to stay in until retirement, the pension isn't too bad either.

The really nice pay tends to be more on the officer side of the house though.

Joined in 2010 to keep track of favorites, forgot about the website for a few months, and then I made another account when I couldn't figure out my old one.

Nothing much has happened since I've joined, besides making good friends with people on the site and watching much more anime. Currently hoping to get a nice job after I finish my current course.

Yo yo, I'm Lughost.

Joined back in summer of 2010, under a different name, after I had been lurking the forums for about six months. Was underage at the time, but turned 18 soon enough. Didn't really do a whole lot of posting until 2012/2013 ish.

First came here for the chinese cartoon porn, but the thing that keeps me around are the forums- mainly IB. Those guys are a bunch of queers but I like them enough to come back. Especially the ones named Josh.

Back in the day, I looked at the community and thought "I want to be a part of that; they all look like they're having so much fun." People know me now, we chat in skype and some of us even meet up once a year for Akon. I don't think it's sad or false to say that I feel some of these guys are up there in best friend land. They've helped me through 4 deaths of those close to me since I joined and I really can't thank those guys enough...

But here I am, five years later, coming back day after day just to see what's going on. Fakku has become a pretty important part of my life along the way and I think that's kinda cool.

It's a lot of fun, and it's thanks to my 3D waifu that I got the JaME position. I wish you luck with your classes!

I'd definitely be happy to do that. IB would be a pretty hilarious place to do it, but I wouldn't want to get the banhammer for speaking another language, though I'd like to do it.

OK, I'll go then. Incoming TL;DR about the REAL parable of Andre otherwise known as 'Notchrishansen'.

Spoiler:
I should be coming up on 5 years soon. Iamnotchrishansen was a formerly unused moniker that was brought up to give loli lovers a scare. Doesn't the name seem a bit fishy?

I discovered FAKKU upon finally getting the internet and a PC of my own. Late into the night I was on a rampage googling 'Haruhi Suzumiya hentai'. 'FINALLY I CAN LOOK AT THIS STUFF WITHOUT PEEKING OVER MY SHOULDER AT THE LIBRARY OR INTERNET CAFE', I thought. I remember my first post was in the anime section asking for Ecchi anime with a good plot (not to be confused with 'PLOT').\

I didn't create an account until my faith wavered in Christianity and I had a shitty day at work. As far as RL issues go, I've been living with my Grandma helping with bills for about 5 years as well since she can't really work anymore due to disabilities debilitating her. I've worked in plants a vast majority of my 'career' and now I have an IT job. I can do the job to stay above water, but there's still so much to learn.

As a user, I wasn't known much until Sneakyone contacted me and liked my avatar (a pic of Mitsuba riding Futaba from Mitsudomoe). From there, he suggested I join his skype group which I met others. The group has grown and shrank over the years and I met new people to boot. I met another user, Graceful Discension and we watched a movie and he came up with an idea with a movie club which paved the way to meet more people. Sindalf invaded one of our chats and mass added some people and that's how I met 'A-team' and started playing League of Legends.

Over the years, I've become less tolerant and more of an asshole. Sometimes I don't understand how my friends still like me. I get angry and bitter at the smallest things and even when I apologize and say I'm going to do better, I fail sometimes saying the most coldest things and not meaning them. Sometimes I get emo as hell and isolate myself thinking it's me against the world. Guys, if you bothered to read all of this, though it doesn't mean much and I'll fuck up again and again, I'm sorry.

Seems like the articles and news reports I read are mostly written by officers, which explains their high salaries.

I am sure we have both seen each other around on the forums, but I don't remember having an in-depth chat with yourself.

Learning is a lifelong journey. There is always something new to learn and discover in our everyday life, including work, if we look hard enough.

Because they are friends with you, they realize that you are only human and have faults too. I do get irritated by some of my friends, and vice versa, but we will overlook each other's faults and continue to be friends... I hope. ^_^;;
