Met some friends here, they introduced me to DFO in late 2009, then I met someone in that community who got me into FF14, and in FF14, I met someone who lived across an ocean. We're married now, and I went to her.

My wife of 12 years divorced me and took the house..Im 38 and had to move back in with my parents..Im staying with them till I get back on my feet..Lost my job because of Covid..2020 has been a real shit year indeed.. Hope everyone is doing ok, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger..Take care everyone!

Still here, barely.

So many good times talking to fellow weebs and hentai enthusiast.

Seeing familiar names posting months ago is a bit depressing, but knowing that they’re still alive is good enough for me.

In the past 4 years... my mom died, I'm living in an apartment my uncle is paying for, I scrub puppy shit at a pet store for $11 an hour, and I'm slowly sliding toward a mental breakdown.

Man, are we at the point where we're just posting our vitals now? It's close to a decade now and lurking around feels a little nostalgic...like a trip down memory lane. My life has changed and I know you all have too. 2020 is proving to be the most craziest of the years but I'm doing well and surviving. This place will always have a place in my heart because of all the friends I made, funny moments and enjoyable conversations. The forum chats made my early college years so much less lonely and I'm thankful for all you guys for it. Wherever you guys are now, I hope that life treats you just as well and better.

My soul was sucked into mmos for the past 5-6 years and the nostalgia wave hit hard this year and I lurk around like a creeper lol.

Fellow degenerate here. been through a lot during my 9 years on this site. Have had many jobs, and done many things. Spent some time as a professional Valorant player ( would not like to mention my alias for privacy reasons ) had some dead end jobs, and many ups and downs. Life gets too busy to spend too much time online or in recreation at all anymore. But, I'm a lifelong learner, love learning new things and generally expanding my knowledge. In doing so I've become bilingual, which I thought would be much more difficult than it actually is. If you guys are struggling with a life decision and the only difference is deciding whether or not to do it, just make the decision, procrastinating I've learned has been the biggest regret f my life. ^_^ keep doing well everyone. and good luck in all of your future endeavors!!

2021 Update:

Health:

-Still alive and going strong

-Some who know me here knows about my mental health issues I've had in the past. Definitely very embarrassing moments here with a few select members, but I think that helped build my character. Good news about that is, my therapist says that in a year, I won't need any medication. I guess having a strong network of friends, eating well and exercise helped tremendously in that endeavor.

-Still no signs of Corona-chan violating my body, but it's only a matter of time. Not worried about it at all though.

Career:

-Still working on ZIN as well as a web based game called FinalRPG. I think I'll be able to create FinalRPG using the skills I learned in school. We'll see. Progress with ZIN is ok, I made some good progress this year on the battle mechanics, so I have a solid idea on how I want to present the game in that area.

-I'm currently learning C++ and java languages, that way once my programming devs start coding, I'll be right there with them. I'm tinkering with the unreal engine program so that when it comes time to delve into the coding portion of the project, I won't be completely in the dark.

-I'm 75% done with school. I'm at the stage where I can make a full fledged modern website. Everything else I'll be learning will have more to do with computer science and showing off everything I've learned in a 6 month long lab project. Once I hit labs, I'll be working with a company that my school assigns in order to develop a web app for them. Once that's done and over with, I'll be an official web engineer.

-I made a website for one of my voice actresses, since it was done for free, I used a third party source for the backend which worked fine. Once my company website is rebuilt, she'll advertise it during her twitch streams.

-The partnership I made with my school mate is official. The contract is for one year, he claims he has some funds coming in to get our business started, so once that rolls out, we'll buy a few servers to get the web dev division off the ground.

-Currently working on a web novel based on the prequel of ZIN. It'll be called "Greedy Salvation". I work on it once a week and am currently on chapter 5. Not sure how many volumes I'll make, but it won't be released until after the game is done.

-Still working at instacart to help pay bills, I'll probably keep doing it despite Corona-chan wreaking havoc in the states. It's good money and surprisingly satisfying helping people stay safe and indoors.


I'm busy with a lot of things, so I can only pop my head in here every so often. I always have a strong sense of nostalgia whenever I come through, so I can't help but to post updates with how my life is going. Glad to see the new and old faces are still doing fine even in these troubled times. I wish everyone here the best in life. For those who didn't make it, RIP, you will be missed.

I'm still around. I like to step in and see how everyone's doing. Got a job here. A job there. And then back into the aether I go.
