Is FAKKU! testing us or something?

No. I officially changed my position. I'm going to crusade for some measurement of reform on here. Leaving posters the ability to add in tags and summaries is worthless -- Red Vodka alone has quite a number of them on here, untagged and god knows people hadn't bother to write summaries for any of the posts on here.

I don't like yaoi, and quite frankly, your arguments about people's tastes being different is baloney. When the majority is told to suck it up and deal by the vocal minority, there's clearly a problem here. Had Fakku been embracing yaoi from the get-go, I'd have no room to complain. But given that it's been going strong for several years and now it wants to get in on the act based on a April Fool's prank, I want to know was this the general consensus of the majority, or is it some overbearing thug telling us to suck it? Because that overbearing thug can go suck it; he does not represent the majority, and he doesn't get to dictate what the majority should be exposed to if it doesn't conform to what they'll want to see.

Because they're the ones that are supporting the site, not the loudmouth jerkwad.

And Random, I said it once and I'll say it again -- this is a site for porn. It's. In. The. Site. Name. Mein Kampf, Unbalance x Unbalance and anything else really has no business being on here, and to be honest, that's something that should have never been allowed in the first place, just on general principle. I don't go to Manga Reader for porn; I don't want to come to Fakku for Onidere. We might as well start uploading the latest Bleach chapters and clone Mangafox's catalog if Fakku is going to keep accepting stuff that has not a lick to do with porn.
First of all fakku is not pay site where you can complain thing you dont want in it!Second fakku is a hentai manga site so its fine if some upload a ecchi series!

I've no issue with ecchi -- however, I fail to understand why are there series with no ecchi involved. I read Mein Kampf #1.

Not a drop of anything that could be considered ecchi.

And I don't recall Unbalance x Unbalance having enough ecchi moments to be acceptable for its length.

Who do you think you are some newfag who want to order admin here then why dont you make site similar to this so you can do what you want

That's actually a good idea. I'll take a look into that.

Why admins dont like the idea of poster tagging manga cause it can be abuse..

True. you can just screw over someone by not indicating the proper tags and have them reading a rape guro midget brutality dojin. I brought up tags because someone acted is if that made posting yaoi acceptable, because "you can skip over it!"

At last check, adding a negative sign to yaoi will still bring up yaoi. And the Search engine is still pretty limited.

Say that again when you see/read Katawa Shoujo.

Jacob welcomed that VN with open hands, and even went out to make a personal Q&A session with the developers of the VN.

The Discussion thread
https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=18275

This isn't "your" site, if you don't like the current materials then take a break from fakku and visit another site.

If Fakku was a restaurant and now adding "Exotic foods" to the menu. If you don't like it there are plenty of the regular foods in the menu.

EDIT:
FAKKU is not "testing us", and what do you mean testing? Fakku is not testing you're not gay or not. Fakku is just "serving" the yaoi and trap lovers.

If fakku was a marketing company, "You're not their only sale target". These merchandise are tailor made for specific people and only those specific people can use and enjoy it.

No, i dont think that theyre testing us. Theres nothing wrong with the releases its a hentai site. the biggest one at that. we cant do anything, its all in the hands of the uploaders. we should just keep quiet, and atleast thank them for the translations theyve been releasing. we dont expect anything from them, cause the works they give is good enough. they expect from us, to support the works theve been releasing.

What next, hardcore guro and brutality?

Just saying we have a tag system in place does not mean "Let's post whatever the fuck we want to now." Especially since quite a few posted series are either not tagged or tagged incorrectly, especially in the latest uploaded stuff (looking at you, Red Vodka), and almost no one writes summaries, either. And let's face it, I'm certain a good number of people aren't using the tag system as a filter until after they've checked out the new stuff, or are looking for something in particular -- I know I sure as hell don't. And while it's cliche to say, "And I shouldn't have to, either" it's the truth. Why should I have to reprioritize my search methods and possibly miss out on something that wasn't tagged, or not tagged correctly, just to avoid having to wade ass deep in yaoi/random/guro/scat because you guys don't give enough of a damn about the site to put up some goddamn restrictions?

Flatout said it. Most of your viitors/members couldn't give a flying fuck about yaoi, so why make them suffer to the tune of the whiny 5%? And especially since the only reason we even have yaoi on here is because Jacob was trolling people with that Naruto dojin Love Tap as an April Fool's joke and someone took it way too serious. And as I said before, letting people post stuff that wasn't even porn is opening a goddamn floodgate to more non-porn/non-ecchi stuff like Unbalance x Unbalance, and we may as well just start hosting the Shonen Big Three and every other non-H manga out there. And letting people post yaoi and making flowery speeches about "equality in porn" and other bullshit is now inviting people to post really squicky shit like amputee, scat and fucking guro.

Fuck this, I'm done. I didn't come to Fakku just to have to wade through loads of objectionable shit that I don't personally enjoy just to find ever increasingly rare stuff that I do enjoy.

Despite all the crying and bitter rage tears I found in that post, I don't think there was anything in there about how you run the place. Welcome to a reality where people have different tastes than you. There are so many normal doujins both here on FAKKU and out in the rest of the internet that your post serves only to make you look ignorant.

If you don't like it, then no one is stopping you from taking you and your teenage angst and leaving. For crying out loud, after all the hundreds of releases that have been uploaded this year alone, you have the audacity to try and make all these yaoi releases and ONE guro manga look like the norm? If nobody gave a damn about this place, you wouldn't even have a tag system in the first place. So don't go assuming no one cares because all of a sudden they don't meet your every expectation.

Please don't let the door hit you on the way out.

so almost ignoring a genre because " they have hundreds of releases that have been uploaded this year alone" is fair? seems every day catering to all genre's is becoming more and more of a gray area open to interpretation.

Don't be mad at me for uploading stuff I like. Be mad that other people who share your tastes aren't uploading more (which, I believe is the result of the uploading system here).

There are alternative sites like where you can search for multiple tags and filter by tags. If you don't like Fakku, you can go there instead.

I'm not "mad" per se at you. I'm more annoyed that you ony tag like half the posts you make, and I'm assuming you're actually tagging in the first place. Talking to another scanlator, it seems anyone with the proper creds can tag ad summarize, so, I don't know who's doing what now.

And incidentally, that's my main gripe -- not tagging stuff. There's some series that I might want to check out, but a) it's not tagged and b) one of the pics present me with what looks like a dude giving another dude a blowjob. I'm fairly certain it's woman, but, hey, without tags, why should I take a look? Yaoi doesn't interest me -- I've read it, and I find it stupid as hell. I mean, I know of some dumb plots and all in porn and non-porn, but geez, something about yaoi really just makes me wrinkle a face awfully weird.

Really, does it take that much effort to tag right? And really, I know one scanlation's tag is totally wrong, as I read it when it was still in Japanese (and written by Nagare Ippon, but I digress).

However, I know there's a buttload more people out there that are tired of the yaoi invasion, and I'm pretty certain if they can't handle yaoi, they might not be so kind about other, more questionable content coming up on a regular.

I propose a site division of some sort, because everything is funneled down the same tube, which is mostly why people complain or make hilarious comments like, "Wait, this isn't Yaoi? [light shines down, angels singing hallelujah]" or "Don't like NTR... don't like yaoi, either... ermmmmmmmm... dammit, gimme the NTR!" It's not a matter of ignoring it if you don't like it, not when there are huge front page announcements of it, and I'm betting a good 90% or more of traffic "Sort by Newest" first. You could sort by tags, but it doesn't help when you can neither exclude certain tags from your search nor search for multiple tags, and having no tags means that particular upload will never see the light of day. Hence, you have trawl through the recent stuff you don't want in order to find something you do want.

Anyway, I say five basic divisions -- straight/het, yaoi/gay, yuri/lesbian (believe it or not, not all guys go for girl-on-girl), questionable/fetish (for your guro/scat/???? needs) and everything else/random. All news and updates go to their respective corners, no one's going to be forced to look at or trawl through things they find useless, nasty or just straight out time wasters, and everyone goes away happy to find their little corners (and hey Jacob can solicit other sites to better tailor to each corner and avoid incidents like when he ran all those gay/ts adverts to foot the bill).

It takes a real long time just to upload stuff, tagging (which means I have to read through each upload) would just take too long.

It is true that there is a tag system but as most people browse on FAKKU! we don't look into the tag system for the latest h manga, we look in the recently submitted area which DOESN'T show the tags on the front page.

Honestly... It's two fucking clicks away. Now you have a whole list of NEW mangas and you can see the tags. If some don't have tags, just mouse three click one of the pages for a sample of what it might hold.

Another problem is the amount of idiots raging about NTR, raped, forced, etc. That's why tags were created, to warn you dumbasses. Even looking at the example page can give you an idea of what that manga/doujin might be.

I'm going to pull this card.
RULES OF THE INTERNET
RULE #41:No matter what it is, it is someone's fetish. NO EXCEPTIONS
And I'm kind of glad FAKKU is diversifying itself, so we can compete with sites like e-hentai.

Jesus Christ people. It isn't that hard to read the tag and look away if you don't want to read it. We are in no position to make demands about what kind of material can and cannot be on Fakku. Some of you are acting like little children, as though you are entitled to a certain amount and type of h-manga on Fakku. Well, guess what? You are entitled to nothing.

There is a huge influx of more obscure genres because it is more openly accepted on Fakku than it ever was previously. Eventually they will all fall into place with the rest of the fetish based material and you'll see a return to the balance of genres. Until then, shut up and deal with it already.

Some of us don't have broadband or DSL. (dail-up) So a few pages away can be a good two to three minutes.

Wait. You don't actually read what you're uploading?

@vietxmikey: I was just commenting on a sample 10 pages, 31 uploads at the time didn't even have tags. And I know one upload wasn't tagged properly (only one tag, and it wasn't the much needed-to-know-in-advanced NTR one, either).

And if anything, mistagging is probably just as bad as not tagging at all. I mean, what the hell is with people slapping Vanilla tags on everything in the latest upload?

Negimaru series - not Vanilla.

Incest - not Vanilla.

Yaoi - NOT Vanilla.

I think people need a serious lesson on what Vanilla is.

Nope. A lot of my uploads are old stuff. At most I skim through them quickly to find any guro.

And the mistagings... hehe, that's the tag moderators just looking at the covers or skimming through them. If it's too much for even them to properly read and tag, how are you expecting me to do the same AND upload?

Given that you, as an uploader, should at least know what you're uploading, that is a very thin excuse for not tagging. And if you haven't the time to read and know what it is you're uploading, I would suggest cutting way back on the amount you upload. It's not a race; there's no bonus or prize for reaching quota.

Seriously, if the system is going to work, everyone has to go the extra mile and do the legwork, read up, tag properly. Otherwise, we may as well scrap the whole system and just take our chances like in the olden days, except it'll be a lot more hazardous than just coming upon some NTR.
