The art of merging 2D and human love. Anyone practice it?

Just for context, my #1 physical turn-on is angel wings, and the most exciting thing is role-playing. My love interest knows I have a thing for Nymph of Sora no Otoshimono lore, so that's an ongoing project. She's very open, and definitely not the conservative type when it comes to sex. She has an open masochistic streak, and I like creative role-play, so the two work together well.

Having said that, do you do your own style of merging the appeals of 2D love with human love, maybe for days at a time? And, most importantly, does your partner enjoy it as much as you do? Or, alternately, does your love interest come up with the ideas most of the time?

To extrapolate, I like very creative role-play (making doujin a *great* source of inspiration sometimes, seriously). So, the more common role-play scenarios, I'm not much a fan of. I like to add stuff that puts the experience in a totally different realm outside of normal reality, and I like to think up and improvise anything that might be fun, even if it seems silly. An example would be her idea of acting hardcore tsundere for an entire day, and then setting it up so I walk in on her changing while trying to "deliver her homework", and acting out the desire/awkwardness a little at a time, as naturally as we can accomplish it. Anything that sounds fun is fair game to at least try.

Anyone else try to put the two worlds together? Did you get the results you were looking for?

not getting the 2d part really, do you mean things you see on 2d material like the doujin here or games?

the last I tried I'd say was rape roleplay but thats pretty much it. I'd be weirded out by being told to roleplay as an elf or a dolphin though.

I don't see any problems. Gameboys have a relatively good lifespan and are likely around the same age as the creator of the thread. That means that marriage isn't out of the question and it's completely legal to have sex with it.

That skins like fun if you and your partner have good acting skills, you seem to have a good bit of talent and that's why it works so well for you, I can improvise and I can orate, buy delivering a scripted set of lines or acting a particular scenario which has already been written (by anyone, myself included) doesn't suit well with me personally. If my assumption is wrong then I do apologize though.

Not sure if this is all that doujin-specific, lol. I know at least one other girl who's told me she loves that feeling. My love interest is very concerned (well, more like terrified, really) about pregnancy, though, and has several forms of contraception at once going on at one time (a three-year-lasting surgical implant that activates as a last line of defense, in addition to the pill, requiring condoms, etc.), so...as much as that would be awesome to at least try once, she would never have it at this stage of our relationship. Maybe someday, if we continue to be compatible?
