Is hentai good for you?

I start watching hentai at a young age and I was wondering if hentai is good or bad for the mind. With latest hentai featuring beastility, toture, slavery, and f**ed up genres access to many people. At first I thought that taimanin asagi was crazy and too hardcore for my taste but now I perfectly fine with these types of hentais.

I know that this types of hentai won't affect me IRL, I never thought to go outside and rape or blackmail anybody because I still know my right and wrongs. However I do have a theory that watching hardcore hentai makes me adapt to things easier. (IDK why I just think so) Maybe I seen soo many sh*t my definition of normal is different compared to average people.

Well, I can't say bad and good but perhaps it doesn't really gave an effect to me? I could say that i am a pervert and i don't really show it but i am also not afraid to admit it. I could say the it made me a bit mature? But recently i have seen hentai that would forever taint my soul. I also saw how "diverse" humans are for i have seen different and SCARY sh*t that i cant believe people fap to.

It's as good/bad as any other media format without an unbiased frame of view, the same way, westerns, slashers, action, lifetime, ect... movies can, alone, portray positive/negative messages.

There are quite a few things, in which are rather common place that do not accurately convey real life. To a child, who does not know what hentai is,(for the greater part) fantasy, they could easily misinterpret messages or underlining themes as true/real.

For instance, at least half(40-55%) of hentai is rape, and most often end with the rape becoming consensual(95%), at some point or another, even fewer times, do the perpetrator end up penalized for their actions(0.05%). To a child who infers hentai as an "accurate portrayal of life", that can be bad.

There is a more subliminal message of, "every woman around men should be a possible 'sexual conquest', who, with enough wooing, will put out sexually, expecting nothing in return". A message porn, action, slashers, ect movies conveys as well, but hentai in a more apparent and raw manner.

Long story short: I don't believe in good or bad, with them being subjective, so if you want one, it's difficult. They have good and bad qualities no different than any other media format, IMO, and ultimately relies on all the other knowledge, experience, and intelligence present during any scenario involving media formats.

Now if you want personal feelings towards it, I love hentai. I love the art, both in the best and the worst of times. From cliche and over used stories with a different art style to those rare gems that make you feel all the wiser for having experience and in which you can reflect on with a warm experience. To view the imagination of a man/group, when given an unrestrained opportunity to tell a story they wish to convey, make such an enthralling and immersive story/world/characters that you forget to fap the first time, to impatient to get to the next page and find out what happens next. The stories that allow you to just fantasies and dream what you can never truly experience in a little bit more vivid manner. The bond found between the communities that share in those fantasies and dreams, and allows them to share and strengthen each others'.

(I don't have a stomach for every type of hentai, but I would never censor anyone.)

If you have an addictive personality (like me) (meaning you get addicted to f** everything), it's a bit of a drug.

Of course, that always lies on the viewer. If our man(or occasionally woman) is sexually intolerable to the point where any form of The deed can provoke him/her to be a threat to any form of society large or small, it's obviously bad. Or if it ends up having a negative impact on how the viewer sees things/how he matures.
If as a depressant(?), it implies it would have positive effects of de-stressing and would serve to be of benefit to the viewer.
At the end of the day, it really just boils down to the person viewing the animate form of "The Deed", as to whether he/she has the right mind to be able to let the positives kick in rather than the nega's, it should be fine.

As a +, you get to hear the lovely words of filth the japanese throw out that you can't hear clearly/hear entirely in their standard AV.

Not to mention, Hentai is really one of the reasons I haven't just killed myself yet; it's keeping my lust at a constant.(And I don't even kid.)

Does the logic work that way though? No, right? So, from unbiased point of view, Hentai is no different compared to other means of entertainment.

But, many of the people that actually have the power to speak that will be heard by millions do have a biased point of view. There is nothing we can do about that.

For me, personally, the plethora of really f**ked up genres has quite simply forced my mind open to new subjects, details, and ideas. Sure I may not agree with them but at least I will do them the pleasure of taking a look over ideas before I out-right decide to accept or reject them. We as human's, especially in a society where eroticism has been put into a generally negative connotation, unfortunately are stuck with misunderstandings and preconceptions of what we do not know, or even care to know for that matter, and thus start to shun the deep colors of eroticism. Because hentai is drawn or set in a 2d universe, many elements missing from 3d porn can easily be supplemented in drawings or animations and rather be bound by budget, props, actors, or simply logic at times, the 2d world is bound only by the imagination. If you can imagine it, there's probably hentai of it somewhere.

Hentai is not here to teach lessons (you learn more about sex in two hours of sex-ed than in two days spent reading stuff online), nor is it good or bad - it is entertainment meant to arouse and stimulate the pervert that lurks in all of us.

It all boils down on us people, if we can or can't control those urges (if we even have them) and if we can understand that hentai is FICTION, and thus can depict anything from fluffy vanilla to infants being put into blenders. I don't think anyone will say, "hey look at this Hentai, well gosh darn it this is great for you!" Hentai is more for entertainment purposes than for your health. Everyone has a curious side, mine led me to hentai/doushinji. I was initially attracted to the difference in how art and story varied from my only previous knowledge of anime/manga. I began to read different ones slowly, there were things that embarrassed/bothered me, but never in a negative way (kitty curiosity again). I knew I had a perverted and horny side to me that flourished through hentai. I'm very proud and secure with who I am and what I enjoy.

Even with some of the more hardcore genres out there, it's not the hentai's is fault if someone goes and acts on their fantasies, the person should be held responsible for any illegal actions they may have performed and they probably already had other deeper issues than just reading porn.

I don't think hentai is bad, but there are people out there that are easily influenced and some things practiced in some hentai should never be attempted in real life. You have to have a good state of mind otherwise great harm can be done to some hapless person.

I guess it depends on the person. With genres becoming weirder everyday, i will try to avoid hentai with content such as scat and torture at all costs since i feel like itt doesn't do me any good, like anything that makes a character lose his mind and blur the barriers between being human and being an animal makes me fear for my sanity

For me, hentai is better than actual porn. I think that it's because I've been watching anime so long that it seems more natural.
