I'm making this topic partly to answer the question on the front page, as well as inform everyone curious of season 2's air date...
Source for this is Newtype June:
"For those who'd like a more concrete idea on when to expect episodes 24+25 in summer:
There will be a "premiere" screening of episodes 24 and 25 on the 21st (Osaka) and 22nd (Tokyo) of July. Guests: Fu-kuyama Jun (Lelouch), Sakurai Takahiro (Suzaku), Yukana (C.C.) and Koshimizu Ami (Kallen) 500 lucky fans will get to watch it at each screening; there will be two screenings in Tokyo so altogether that's 1500 fans."
No word on when they'll air on TV, but a second season has just been greenlighted for fall, 100% sure.
