I noticed there's a huge popularity for visual novels and a lot of developers make RPGS with recycled enemies since RPGmaker is fairly straightforward. But what other genres do you guys like? For me huniepop was super fun and there's a card game called last evil which is really addicting. Can't wait for subverse :D
Genre doesn't matter much to me, it's the pacing that I care about. Nukige all the way!! I don't mind having a build-up to the most intense part of the content, but I am not going to play an RPG for 3 hour periods just to get one scene a piece lol.
Im not sure what genre this classes as but 'project helius' is good. Still under development so no story yet but the scenes are awesome. It's built on unreal with vr etc, and they have some devs from ubisoft joining i think.
Stuff like Teaching Feeling or Akirapoints. I want to call them relationship sims but people could probably consider them grooming simulators instead, depending on perspective.
Love all kinds, except for western VNs and RPGs, really haven't hit their stride yet and lots of lame copy and paste stories. or these grindy "freeroam" games bleh.
