Have you ever watched NEW GIRL on tv?
If not, you must.

Friends are friends, wherever, whenever.

I've played with the same group of guys for 5 or 6 years now and I consider them friends.

I had a friend while playing Ragnarok some years ago. We continued to be friends even after we stopped playing.
We kinda met during college after years of just talking on the net.
We're like brothers now xD

That's 100% how my friendship started with the friend I mentioned who goes by the name Tyaeth :)

People you meet from forums are your friends.

People that you mostly add on social sites, however, are somewhat deceiving. Maybe one of the reasons why they added you as a friend is because they don't like you and they just give you the satisfaction of "Oh, ____ is my friend now. I'm so relieved. I thought he hated me."

The human connections that we form online are essentially the same as the ones we create in reality- only the medium of communication is different.

And just like how the internet eases falsity and deceit- it can also enable honesty.

The anonymity of it is very securing- as such- some may even find that their truest relationships are online.

The lack of immediate consequence can be immensely liberating.

It's almost like a shortcut through all the social meandering of the bullshit courtesy and politeness series of hoops that one must jump through in regular relationships.

Fakku is the perfect example.

You can't really introduce yourself to someone in real life with the opening line of "Hey, I like hentai. I'm especially fond of loli futanari and kemonomimi maids".

Yes, of course they are.
Online friends can be very good friends just as real life friends can.
Online friends can be bad friends just as real life friends can.

Met some friends in online games. Also the websites I would go to when I'm studying and working (... >3> since is really the times that make me stay the most in front of the computer and procrastinate)

I think so, any people whos friendly with me I consider them as a "friend"
But of course, the people I know well will probably not be simply put as friends.
I call them "assholes" or "dickheads" ;)

Hanasaku i should just die
My 'friends' made online make up 90% of my total friends.

Then again, I don't actually have much friends online, either.

Depends on the level of friendship I suppose, I've met people through the internet by playing online games with them, and it go to the point where we exchanged each other's cell and we talk all the time about everything and a friendship blossomed from there

When I run into someone I know online IRL, we usually just use each other's tags cause that's how we know each other lol.....it gives us strange looks when I introduce someone as "DingleBerry212" or something of the sort lol

So it just realy depends on how willing you are to make friends/ how far you let them into your life, but I would say yeah, most people I consistently see/chat/play with online are my friends...

It really depends on how well they know you. I consider Artcell a true friend. :3

Awwww. <3

But yeah, it really does depends from person to person. I, for one, consider a lot of my Fakku friends to be real friends, ones whom I would trust almost everything with, as naive as that may seem.

As for Facebook...well, I never add someone I've never known personally or at least talked to for some time.

Not unless you meet them in real life.
Or they mail you something.

Yes. The internet IMO was supposed to close the gap of distance between people so they can communicate if they communicate well with each other and would constantly hang out with each other online I would call them friends.
